Are the characters in this microgame Wario?[edit]
The defining rule of the Intro Games is that all of them feature Wario. Saying the characters in this microgame "resemble Wario" is being overly cautious, especially when WarioWare Gold makes a joke about how Wario's design is allowed to differ in the microgames in Where's Wario. - I assumed it's a continuation of other WarioWare games where a subset of Wario's microgames, typically later in the main mode, tend to feature Wario himself or refer to Wario in various ways such as Wario-Man's Super Zero set (for instance, the dog from Nitpicking has Wario's features) or Tiny Wario's arc from Wario Ware Smooth Moves or Lava at First Sight from WarioWare: Move it!.
