The players are in a stageroom, with drums in front of them. The solo player must make up a beat the rivals must correctly mimic. Any incorrect or missing beat counts as a mistake for the rivals. The minigame has up to three rounds. If the combined number of mistakes each rival makes is seven in the 1-vs.-2 version or ten in the 1-vs.-3 version, the solo player wins; otherwise, the rivals win.

In the 1-vs-2 version of this minigame, the rivals are allowed to make less than 7 mistakes. In 1-vs-3, the limit increases to 10.

==Trivia==
==Trivia==
*Notably, if the solo player loses, instead of them hanging their head as the rivals do when they lose the minigame, a unique animation plays, in which the solo player shrugs before looking at the screen with a sad look on their face. This is the only minigame with this distinction.
*This minigame is similar to [[The Beat Goes On]] from ''[[Mario Party 3]]''.
