The Skating Shy Guys skate around the course on ice skates and occasionally twirl into the air. They also serve as obstacles for the racers, slowing them down if they hit them. They come in blue and red varieties; the blue ones skate by themselves, while the red ones skate together holding hands. Skating Shy Guys reappear in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'' in the Rogers Arena section of [[Vancouver Velocity|Vancouver Velocity 2]]'s R and T variants, Vancouver Velocity 3 and [[GBA Snow Land|GBA Snow Land R]], where they skate around the ice, though in Vancouver Velocity 2T, they twirl in one spot instead.
