The Rolling Gizmo Galaxy is a galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. It is one of the three Trial Galaxies. It is a more challenging version of Rolling Green Galaxy's concept, this galaxy also featuring the Rolling Ball. Unlike the Rolling Green Galaxy, which is rather plain and grassy, this galaxy is made of many moving and spinning gadgets and electronics.

This first part of the course consists of a zigzag leading up to a bunch of breakable blocks that can be broken by jumping. Behind the blocks is a bridge that Mario must jump to knock down much like the blocks. Note that if Mario travels first to the bridge without the ball there will be a bunch of blue star bits in a pile hovering behind it. Behind the bridge is a launcher that will launch Mario to the second part of this area. The second part of is just a small hole with coins all around it that Mario can collect. The hole leads to the second area.

Behind the blocks is a bridge that Mario must knock down much like the blocks. A formation of blue Star Bits shaped like a Rupee, the currency in The Legend of Zelda series, hovers in the gap behind the bridge, which can only be viewed before it is knocked down, if Mario looks down from the top of it. Past the bridge is a launcher that will send Mario to the second part of this area. It is a concave platform with a hole in the center and coins all around it. The hole leads to the second area.

This is the final area consisting of a large gear and a long walkway with two dice running around it that will try to push Mario off. This leads up to the windmill and the final hole that will break the star ball. If Mario rides onto the second die he can easily make it to the end.

The player (as Mario or Luigi) simply has to traverse the galaxy with a Star Ball. At the beginning there is a zigzag path with two Goombas and a 1-Up. Mario must traverse it onto a large flat platform with walls, a hill and another Goomba. There are four gigantic blocks that release a coin when hit which Mario must destroy at least two of to get to a bridge which Mario must knock down with the ball. After crossing the bridge, there will be a cannon which will blast the ball and Mario to the next planet. There will be a funnel with many coins all around it which Mario must go through onto a path made of two wires which take Mario down to the next area. In the next area Mario must go across multiple gears to a large dice block and a rotating platform. Mario must wait for the block to move then go across the platform before the block comes back. There are several more gears and a ramp leading to another wired path which leads to another path. On the path there are two small dice blocks which Mario has to avoid to get to the end where there is a star ball-opener to open the star.

Trivia
Trivia
*It is possible to make a Goomba fall down from the platform in the second area. Should Mario lure this Goomba from the far right hand side of the orange area toward the blue sloped area opposite, and then roll the Rolling Ball on top of it when on the blue area, the Goomba will disappear, and will be seen falling downward through the sky.better source
*In the first area, if the player goes right next to the still upright bridge without the Star Ball and goes into first person view, they see a lot of blue Star Bits. If the player gets on top of the bridge (by backflipping off a block and wall-jumping off of the bridge) and goes into first person view on the edge of the bridge and looks down, it is revealed that the group of blue star bits is in the shape of a Rupee (currency in The Legend of Zelda series). Knocking down the bridge makes the Star Bit cluster disappear.
