'''Patriarc''' is [[Arc]]'s father in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Brothership]]''. His name is a pun on the word "patriarch".

After the [[Uni-Tree]] was destroyed and [[Concordia]] was split, Patriarc and Arc were kidnapped by [[Snaptor]]s and taken to a Great Lighthouse. Patriarc locked his son in a capsule and threw it into the sea so he could escape, with Arc eventually washing ashore [[Shipshape Island]]. Patriarc, meanwhile, stayed behind to spy on the [[Extension Corps]], leaving behind notes detailing their plans in each Great Lighthouse. 

Patriarc's fourth note ends suddenly, leaving his fate unknown. However, it is revealed in the credits that he did survive, with him reuniting with his son.
