Paddle Battle is a 1-vs-3 Coin-collecting minigame in Mario Party.
Paddle Battle is a 1-vs-3 minigame that appears in Mario Party. Paddling on a river, the single player must direct the inflatable boat towards the shore on the team of three's side, where Spear Guys will stab them and give the single player their coins, while the team of three must direct the boat toward the shore on the single player's side to get his or her coins. The player(s) with the most coins at the river's end win(s). To paddle, rotate the analog stick. Aside from the threat of Spear Guys, players must avoid the rocks that jut outward from and populate the river.

Overview
Names in Other Languages
The four players all ride an inflatable boat down a river. The solo player as well as the team players competitively direct the boat to their opponent's shore to obtain their Coins. The obstacles include Spear Guys and rocks along the river. The side with the most Coins by the end wins. If neither side receives any Coins, the victory theme plays while they do their losing poses.

Notes
Mario Party 1
*Paddle Battle is one of the minigames infamous for giving players injuries on their hands, besides Deep Sea Divers, Pedal Power, Cast Aways, and Tug o' War. A disclaimer is shown in the Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online re-release of Mario Party and advises players not to turn the stick with their palm to avoid injury and stick damage.
