MarioWiki talk:Maintenance
Down there where it says Special:Unusedfiles it is supposed to be Special:Unusedimages.

Coding problems[edit]
In the code of the page, I found a spelling mistake. See here:
|'''RW''' || Rewrite || Poorly-written articles (e.g. ridden with grammar mistakes) that need to be fixed, or articles dumped from Wikipedia that need originality here. || <big>Normal: {{#dpl:debug=1|uses=Template:Rewrite¦Rewrite adn Expansion Requested|ordermethod=lastedit|mode=inline|inlinetext=, |randomcount=2}} <br>
On a second thought, is it even correct to write the category name there? Shouldn't there be {{rewrite-expand}} instead? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 14:07, 29 May 2007 (EDT)
- The coding of the page really needs a serious update. Now, my personal image was listed as unlicensed, because the new version of the Creative Commons license was not updated here. When is it going to be updated? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 16:27, 25 July 2007 (EDT)
SMRPG No Category?[edit]
Why does SMRPG appear in the no category section, despite being in several categories? -- Son of Suns
- It seems to be a glitch that occasionally happens. We have experienced it before. The article has plenty of categories, but the Maintenance states it has none. Someone has to edit the page, even make a minor edit, in order for Maintenance to state that it has a Category. My Bloody Valentine Don't ask me why that happens.
Welcome Committee[edit]
Who's gonna take over the Welcome Committee since Xzelion retired? — Stooben Rooben Just curious.
I think the Welcoming Comittee part is useless, you can still welcome new users even if you are not a part of the comitee, all but 1 of it's member are retired/inactive, and all-around, it's rather pointless. Anyone object removing it? Blitzwing (talk · gnome work)
Change?[edit]
Did the table changed or its just my browser, if so, why? i prefered the other one ™ AAAAAAAAAA
- RAP (talk) redesigned the table so that it would load quicker. — Stooben Rooben 12:25, 6 February 2009 (EST)
Category[edit]
Anyone ever notice that when you click on a page thats in the "no categories category", the page always has a category? --Clay Mario (talk)
- They may have the same space issue that SMRPG had above. I'll go check. User:Dry Paratroopa/sig
Page Protection[edit]
I think we should protect this page. Yoshario (talk)
Unlicensed images doesn't work.[edit]
In the unlicensed images section, I got several images which already have a licence tag on them. One time, it was a game screenshot, and another screenshot was from a live-action Super Show segment; both were properly licensed. I think there's something wrong with the code. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 17:35, 19 June 2009 (EDT)
- This has happened to me before. Maybe its our version of DPL. Yoshario
No Category articles[edit]
Baby Donkey Kong and Paper Mario (series) both appear appear under "No Category", but they do have categories. What's going on? Fawfulfury65
- Glitch. Its really old, actually. --™ The 'Shroom 21:24, 11 January 2010 (EST)
Unlicensed Images & Images without aboutfile[edit]
These two seem to be broken; they are displaying articles instead of images. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with images used in these articles either - I'm guessing it's looking for the aboutfile & license templates in articles rather than file pages and just listing any of them, as logically, none of them use these templates.--vellidragon 19:14, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- I believe this has to do with the image space rename. I'll check the coding. --™ The 'Shroom 19:52, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, it was that :) --™ The 'Shroom 19:54, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, that fixed it, thank you :3--vellidragon 23:43, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- No prob, I am glad to help --™ The 'Shroom 01:20, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, that fixed it, thank you :3--vellidragon 23:43, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

Category?[edit]
I fixed Bullet-Proof Software and Radical Entertainment yesterday, but it still shows them as no category.
Young M. Luma ••• 08:10, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- It's most likely the glitch mentioned a few times in some sections above (see Tucayo's reply to FF65) This Is War 09:50, 5 September 2010 (UTC) EDIT: Wait a minute. When I check it, there are no pages in the NC section. Now I'm confused!
- Perhaps you just needed to clear your cache to see the changes, that happens sometimes. --™ The 'Shroom 15:07, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Unused Images[edit]
I just linked File:MissileBill SMB3.png to the Missile Bill page, yet it is currently still "unused". Can someone fix that, or do I need the Not-unused template placed on the file in question? This Is War 11:47, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- It might be a glitch. Wait a while and it will probably disappear from the unused images. That usually happens when I add categories for articles without categories. Fawfulfury65
New problem: Gamefreak75's Tall Trunk Galaxy images are linked to the galaxy's article, but are listed as unused?! This Is War 19:20, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
Try hitting the refresh button on your browser. Fawfulfury65
- Nope, still there. This Is War 19:24, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
It seems to be fixed now. --FFY 16:30, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
Unlicensed Image[edit]
File:SPM_The_Void.png is licensed yet classed as unlicensed. Similar to the problem above, no? Another screwy glitch, perhaps? This Is War 16:30, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
- Lol, I know this comment was put here 7 months after the previous, but yeah, that part of the page does seem kinda glitchy...all three of those supposedly "unlicensed" images I looked at had licensing... ! 07:38, 11 May 2011 (EDT)
2257 just edited the DPL so it should be working properly, but being a pessimist, I think it's only a matter of time until it starts breaking up and glitching again. The same propblem seems to be recurring. Maybe it will stop, maybe it won't. This Is War 09:57, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
Help with Orphaned Pages[edit]
For the Orphaned pages, most of the pages listed on it are either deleted pages or disambiguation pages. I don't see any way that a page could link to any of these pages. Is there any possible way that we could add a link on a page to any of these deleted or disambiguation pages? --MimiTheCopycat 12:39, 23 August 2012 (EDT)
New problem[edit]
There are also problems with outdated pages, such as Roulette Block. Could we make a template to do it? Feel free to vote on this. Stonehill (talk) 22:08, 14 April 2014 (EDT)
Not One, but Two Problems[edit]
I'm not sure if these need tags or not, but please tell me if they do. On the Mario and Luigi series page, similarities between games is very long. Also, on the Kongo Bongo Gone Wrongo page (what a long, but catchy name), the symptoms section is the lyrics to the song. If the Blorbs had a song, would the symptoms section be like, "After a few seconds, you will turn into a ball! Along with that, you'll be really fat and tall! The Blorbs, the Blorbs, a horrible malady..."? Of course not; we're a wiki! So, do you think tags are needed? Madz the Penguin (talk) 12:31, 27 November 2014 (EST)
Fuzzies fuzz[edit]
Hey, on this wiki there are three sprites for Fuzzies from Paper Mario:
- PM Fuzzy.png
Anyone know how to clear these up? Another gossip-loving Toad (talk) 08:35, 3 April 2015 (EDT)
- I have changed the use of the others into the middle one, File:PMFuzzy.png. The other two are not used except here. Another gossip-loving Toad (talk) 07:40, 18 April 2015 (EDT)
Images without {{Aboutfile}}[edit]
I put together a list of all the files on MW that don't have {{Aboutfile}} on them.
Unfortunately, it has 26659 items on it, and is nearly a megabyte. Would it be useful in any way? - Reboot (talk) 15:22, 28 July 2015 (EDT)
- I don't know if it's really worth it to insert aboutfiles into 26,659 pages... I don't know if it's going to be useful or not, but we'll see. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 15:41, 28 July 2015 (EDT)
Spirit[edit]
Why does so many pages link to Spirit (more specifically 478 links), is that some sort of glitch?, because I've not found any link that links with spirit. - --Frábært! (talk) 19:09, 11 July 2018 (EDT)
- It is linked on Template:M&LSS, which is transcluded on many pages, causing that number to appear. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 19:13, 11 July 2018 (EDT)

Would it be possible to automatically categorize pages with <ref>
