Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS offers a total of 105 challenges. There are thirty-five challenges divided among three panels, and each challenge also gives its own reward. This page contains all the Super Mario-related challenges.

Overview[edit]

When a challenge is completed, an image appears on the corresponding tile and a reward is granted, which can range from a unique trophy to a character's move. Additionally, completing a Challenge causes any adjacent tiles to change color. Dark blue tiles represent revealed (but incomplete) challenges, while light blue ones mean that completing the revealed Challenge will grant a Golden Hammer, in addition to the standard reward.

Golden Hammers can be used to open any tile of the player's choice, with a few exceptions. Golden Hammers can only be used on the panel that they were unlocked at. Each panel has three Golden Hammers that can be obtained, and whenever a Golden Hammer is used, a Golden Hammer icon will be present on the northeastern part of the image.

The challenges are split into three panels. Panel 1 is available from the start and completing all of its challenges will give the player the Super Star trophy. Panel 2 can be unlocked by completing the first panel, and completing all of its challenges will give the player the Tutorial Pig trophy. Panel 3 can be unlocked by completing 25 challenges from the second panel, along with unlocking all the playable fighters.
