| | Kosha's are large Kremlings that appeared only in Donkey Kong 64. Unlike most Kremlings, they were brown, and also wore horned Viking-esque helmets. Also unique was their method of attack; they carried around gigantic, spiked clubs, too heavy even for the huge Kosha's, which they attempted to smash the Kongs with. If the club hit any the Kongs, two whole melon slices would be taken away from their health meter. If the club missed, the Kosha would struggle to lift it again for a moment. |

Their name plays on the word "cosh," another name for club. Koshas appear in Gloomy Galleon, Fungi Forest (at night), Crystal Caves, and Creepy Castle (including its lobby in DK Isles). Although they are small, Koshas are formidable, and they wear a gray viking helmet and carry around a large, spiked club, but struggle to carry it around. A Kosha tries to smash the player character with its club, costing them two melon slices if hit, though if a Kosha swings its club overhead and misses, it struggles lifting its club for a few seconds, a characteristic comparable to Kutlasses in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. A Kosha's helmet allows it to withstand most attacks, and a Kosha's club allows it to deflect any oranges thrown at it. A Kosha can be defeated either from a Kong's musical instrument move, their shockwave ability, by Chunky Kong hitting them while under the effect of Hunky Chunky, or from an orange if it is off-guard. A Kosha's defeat animation shows it yelling while falling, then its club hits its head. A Kosha's spoils from being defeated are two melon slices. Koshas have an idle animation where they accidentally drop their club onto their head, slightly flattening them.

| A gigantic Kosha is stationed near the top of Crystal Caves. It smashes the ceiling of the cave at regular intervals, creating violent tremors that send stalactites raining down in the level, though defeating it stops the stalactites from falling.
| | Kosha's were too powerful even for Chunky Kong to defeat; the only ways to defeat them were to use the selected Kong's instrument, or their special power which they gained from the Banana Fairy Princess. Kosha's were relatively rare, and appeared in Gloomy Galleon, Fungi Forest (at night), Crystal Caverns, and Creepy Castle. |

| | In the Crystal Caverns, a gigantic Kosha was at the top of the cavern, and every once in a while, he would smash the cave ceiling, causing short avalanches of boulders. Once defeated, the avalanches would cease for good. |

| | * Koshas are, in several ways similar to Kutlasses as both are small Kremlings who carry large weapons to big for them to handle. |
