Boo Balloons race about the screen, trying to deal damage to a [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]]. They inflate when hit with an [[Yoshi's Egg|egg]]. After three hits, they burst, yielding [[coin]]s or sometimes a [[! Switch]]. Boo Balloons appear in [[Bigger Boo's Fort]] and [[Don't Look Back!]], with the former called '''Blue Boos'''<ref name=blueballoon/> in the ''[[Nintendo Power]]'' [[Super Nintendo Entertainment System|SNES]] guide due to the black background rendering the string invisible.
