The Birdo's Eggs of ''Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic'' and ''Super Mario Bros. 2'' are depicted plain white. They are spat usually by pink [[Birdo]]s but sometimes also Red Birdos, besides fireballs. Picking up eggs and throwing them at Birdo is usually the only way to damage her, but [[Mushroom Block]]s can as well if they are nearby. If a Birdo's Egg hits a wall, it rebounds very lightly and falls offscreen. The player character can ride on top of an egg, which is required at one point in [[World 4-3 (Super Mario Bros. 2)|World 4-3]] to cross a wide ocean gap. The [[Game Over]] screen in the ''[[Super Mario All-Stars]]'' and ''[[Super Mario Advance]]'' remakes both show Birdo holding an egg.
Birdos and their eggs make their first appearance in the American release of ''Super Mario Bros. 2'' (and in the Japanese-only game, ''[[Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic]]'' that it is based on). Here, Birdo's Eggs are plain white and are spat by [[Birdo]] and sometimes by the red variant. In many levels, the only way to damage Birdo is to jump on top of the egg and pick them up and throw them back at her, although sometimes alternatives to these eggs exist, such as [[Mushroom Block]]s.  


Giant eggs are spit by [[Robirdo]], a boss exclusive to ''Super Mario Advance''. They work the same as Birdo's Eggs, but the weight and size of them can make it take potentially longer to pick them up. While Birdo's Eggs do not appear in the ''[[Mario Bros. (Game Boy Advance)|Mario Bros.]]'' remake, the eggs in the game use nearly identical sprites.

While pitching, Birdo throws the ball, and it bounces on one side of the ground and then bounces farther to the other side as it passes the batter. This can trick the batter, as the ball quickly bounces from one side to the other. However, this pitch can result in a ball.
 
If Birdo is batting, the ball is shot to the infield and bounces around the area. It works similar to [[Yoshi]]'s [[Egg Ball]], except the Weird Ball has pink spots rather than green spots, and bounces farther on the outfield.
