Birdo's Eggs are projectiles spat or sometimes thrown from Birdos. They are depicted with pink or magenta spots in several appearances to resemble Yoshi's Eggs, though are sometimes depicted to resemble regular white eggs. Birdo's Eggs first appear in Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic and its Western world equivalent, Super Mario Bros. 2.
Birdo's Eggs are projectiles spat or sometimes thrown from Birdos. They can be plain white, but have also been shown to have pink or magenta spots in some appearances. In various video games, the Birdo's Egg appears as Birdo's emblem, which is later replaced by her bow.

The Birdo's Eggs of Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic and Super Mario Bros. 2 are depicted plain white. They are spat usually by pink Birdos but sometimes also Red Birdos, besides fireballs. Picking up eggs and throwing them at Birdo is usually the only way to damage her, but Mushroom Blocks can as well if they are nearby. If a Birdo's Egg hits a wall, it rebounds very lightly and falls offscreen. The player character can ride on top of an egg, which is required at one point in World 4-3 to cross a wide ocean gap. The Game Over screen in the Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance remakes both show Birdo holding an egg.
Birdos and their eggs make their first appearance in the American release of Super Mario Bros. 2 (and in the Japanese-only game, Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic that it is based on). Here, Birdo's Eggs are plain white and are spat by Birdo and sometimes by the red variant. In many levels, the only way to damage Birdo is to jump on top of the egg and pick them up and throw them back at her, although sometimes alternatives to these eggs exist, such as Mushroom Blocks.

Giant eggs are spit by Robirdo, a boss exclusive to Super Mario Advance. They work the same as Birdo's Eggs, but the weight and size of them can make it take potentially longer to pick them up. While Birdo's Eggs do not appear in the Mario Bros. remake, the eggs in the game use nearly identical sprites.
In World 4-3, a Birdo's Egg is mandatory to ride on top of to the otherwise impassable ocean to reach the main dungeon where Fryguy's lair is located.

Super Mario Advance
In the Game Boy Advance remake, Super Mario Advance, in addition to a reappearance of normal Birdo's Eggs behaving the same way as in the original game, a giant variety returning from BS Super Mario USA is shot by Robirdo. Apart from their size, they behave as normal Birdo's Eggs, though they take more time to pick up depending on the character. They can cause damage to the protagonists, or to be carried and thrown back to do damage. Birdo holds an egg in the games logo, when the player chooses a game, and also on the Game Over screen.

In Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Birdo appears as a playable character, and her Special Item are Birdo's Eggs. They behave the same as Birdo's counterpart, Yoshi's Eggs, but they are covered in pink spots (Yoshi's are green). Once thrown, the eggs home in on the nearest character above Birdo and her racing partner in rank. Upon collision, the Birdo's Egg breaks and releases three items at random, and the kart that is hit flips. These items can include Bob-ombs, Stars, Mushrooms, Red or Green Shells, Fake Item Boxes, or Bananas. Birdo's Eggs also break if they hit stray items or environmental hazards, and if they go long enough without hitting anything they self-destruct. The eggs are also one of the only two Special Items that King Boo and/or Petey Piranha cannot use, along with Luigi's Green Fireball.

As seen in the Nintendo Comics System comics "Bedtime for Drain-Head" and "Betrayal Most Proper", after losing control of the Mushroom Kingdom, Bowser employs Birdos as castle guards. Mario battles these guards on two occasions. Under the delusion that he is Dirk Drain-Head in "Bedtime for Drain-Head," Mario enters Bowser's Castle to save Toad. After laying waste to a large number of enemies outside of the castle, a Birdo blocks Mario's path and shoots eggs at him as he tries to enter the castle. However, Mario quickly picks them up and throws them back, defeating this Birdo similarly to the Birdo in Super Mario Bros. 2.
Birdo's Eggs reappear in Mario Kart Tour as Birdo's special item once again, functioning the same way like in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and the Yoshi's Egg. Its design has been reverted back to being a spotless egg.
br

The second encounter with Birdos occurs in "Betrayal Most Proper" as Mario and Toad attempt to rescue Wooster, who are then attacked by Birdos in Bowser's Castle. When their movement becomes impaired by a conveyor belt moving in the opposite direction, the Birdos begin firing eggs. Rather than defeat the Birdos, they simply run off.

When the turn is done, the spaces are turned into orbs that Birdo can use. The Egg Orb can also eliminate Koopa Kid Spaces.

A Birdo's Egg is part of Birdo's Star Skills in Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Super Sluggers. In the former game, it is Weird Ball, in which the baseball becomes a Birdo's Egg that bounces on one side of the ground and then farther to the other side while passing the opponent, regardless of whether Birdo is pitching or batting. In Mario Super Sluggers only, a Birdo's Egg is included as part of Cannon Swing, where Birdo spits an egg with pink bows printed on it before slamming it with her bat. Birdo's Eggs appear on some of Birdo's team logos and marks on Yoshi's team, Yoshi Islanders.

This can trick the batter, as the ball quickly bounces from one side to the other. However, this pitch can result in a ball.

If Birdo is batting, the ball is shot to the infield and bounces around the area. It works similar to Yoshi's Egg Ball, except the Weird Ball has pink spots rather than green spots, and bounces farther on the outfield.

*Eggs in the Game Boy Advance version of Mario Bros., which is included in the Super Mario Advance series and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, use a sprite nearly identical to that of Birdo's Eggs in Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance.

*While Birdo's Eggs do not appear in Mario Kart DS, an unused kart in the file "KartModelMain.carc" is an Egg 1 kart with pink spots, implying it could have been intended to be used as a Birdo's Egg kart, this also implies at one point Birdo was originally going to be a playable character.
