Battle kin

Battle kin are germs created by Bowser in Super Mario-kun Volume 9 that are able to instigate the infected to pick a fight with anyone. They look like bacteria with an angry expression.
After trapping Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi in a Mario Bros. arena, Bowser releases the germs onto them, but Mario discovers that he is immune to the battle kin due to his own omanuke kin that are similar to the evil germs. After trying to survive Luigi and Yoshi, a Super Mushroom lands on Mario's head, precisely on one of his omanuke kin, which grows and munches on Luigi and Yoshi, freeing them of the battle kin's influence.

Trivia[edit]
- In Volume 15, Kamek blows some Fuzzies to Luigi and Yoshi, turning them aggressive towards Mario. Not only the scene reminds of the Battle kin chapter, but the panel in which they turn aggressive has them in the exact pose as when they got infected by the battle kin.
