| A Sample Shroom Review | Hi, and welcome to this month's issue of The Shroom! Today I will be reviewing the slightly-new Nintendo DS game Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story!
Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is yet another M&L RPG. Some basic plot lines follow. |
| Gameplay | Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, or Mario and Luigi RPG3,has average game-play ability. Using the Nintendo DS,players move their characters using the Control Pad. This aspect is unique, however. Players can control not only Mario and Luigi, but Bowser as well! Mario and Luigi still have their Special Moves, and so does Bowser!
A and B are used to jump,normally,for Mario and Luigi.X and Y are used to make Bowser punch and Breathe Fire (he can't jump).All in all,it is pretty decent. |
| Graphics | The graphics are also rather average, just like most other Mario RPG games. It is 2-D inside Bowser,but '3-D' outside of him. Not too shabby! The battle sequence is normal,the enemies are based of such things like vitamins and biffidus. Mario and Luigi strike a humorous dance when it is the other character's turn. Ah, Nintendo. |
| Story Mode | THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST STORY-LINES I HAVE EVER SEEN! From the hilarious beginning to the part where Mario and Luigi get flying out of Bowser, the plot is NOT a letdown. Mario, Luigi, and Bowser keep attaining new Field and Special Moves,eventually triggering a cut-scene. This never, EVER gets old. |
| Other Modes | Other modes other than the storyline are okay, but most need potential. The only place Mario and Luigi can go for extra challenges is the Challenge Node. There you can only do the 99-Block Challenge and the Special Move area. One of my personal favorites is the Gauntlet. It lets you battle stronger memories of bosses! You end up gaining more than you spent doing it. But in the end,the other modes are severely lacking. |
| Summary | Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is a more toward excellent (but decent) RPG. This one has its fans, but it would personally not be the game I want the most. Its a great game,and so I rate Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story an 8.5. |

Apparently, we aren't really good at making humorous quotes ... sorry 'bout that! But anyways, thank you so much for reading it, and hopefully ... my friend will start updating it soon. He hasn't done that in quite a while. Bugger. :) *flies over the rainbow*
