Did I do something wrong?
Did I did something wrong I only remove this → 'a boo'? (A user revert my edit) Uh-oh!! Princess Grapes Butterfly 20:57, 27 March 2008 (EDT)
How come I never saw this in ANY of my play throughs and I've had this game ever since it came out, man! --Boo Luigi 09:26, 5 June 2009 (EDT)
Japanese name
Any source of the Japanese name? From what I can tell, it was randomly added three months ago, and no one bothered to check it. From what I can tell, it's from Japanese Wikipedia. Niiue (talk) 19:34, 20 December 2015 (EST)
- A while back, 2257 added a whole slew of Japanese names for the YS enemies. Recently, when I asked him about his source, he responded with, "probably wikipedia tbh," and without a better source, I removed the translations. This didn't stop Tailikku from using the JP Wikipedia as a source again and reinsert some of the translations. Frankly, any of his edits involving Yoshi's Story and translations should not be trusted (excluding the three that he actually gave a source for). Hello, I'm Time Turner.
Merge to Boo Man Bluff
Should we merge this to Boo Man Bluff? From what I read on this page, they have the same attack methods and the only thing that differentiates it is the appearance.--(TALK) 21:40, 17 April 2016 (EDT)
- I believe they can stay separate just from different appearances and different names alone.

Super Princess Peach
In Super Princess Peach, Blindfold Boos are never seen individually and are instead found as walls moving from one side of the screen to the other, which is totally different behavior from an individual Blindfold Boo in other appearances. Since enemy crowds like Boo Buddy Swarms and Fuzzy Hordes have their own articles, should the same be done for the unnamed Blindfold Boo swarms? LinkTheLefty (talk) 23:05, 15 September 2018 (EDT)
- In the games which feature those, there is also an individual version with which to be distinct with. The crowd/wall of these is the only type of Blindfold Boo in the game. In the game's coding, it's worth noting that they each use individual graphics, and are simply piled together by the game itself. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:29, 16 September 2018 (EDT)

Blindfold Boo is an enemy introduced in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. As its name suggests, these are blind Boos that attack Yoshi by the sound that he makes. These enemies reappeared in Yoshi's Story, where they maintain their behavior but have a slightly modified appearance.
In Super Princess Peach, there is an unnamed group of enemies consisting of a large group of Blindfold Boos that rapidly and relentlessly chases Peach.
While these enemies are obviously Blindfold Boos, their organization and behavior differ greatly from a Blindfold Boo.
Blinfold Boos move slowly toward the player's position based on their sound.
While these Blinfold Boos groups, will chase the player quickly and without stopping even without needing a sound to move.
I think there is a clear goal here to create a type of enemy in large numbers, inspired by other Boo formations such as Boo Crews and Disappearing Boo Buddys, while also being a predecessor of Fuzzy Hordes from Super Mario 3D World, Wonder Gnawshers from Super Mario Wonder, and Munchers from Donkey Kong Country Returns.
Because we don't have an official name that calls them Blinfold Boos, and because of their differences in mechanics and inspirations from other Boo formations, I think spliting them from the main Blinfold Boo article while still maintaining their appearance would be ideal.
This would also fix the comparison, as it can be confusing to some that Blindfold Boo is comparable to Wonder Gnawsher, because if you look at their primary mechanics, they have nothing in common.

- PrincessPeachFan (talk) So? They're just Blindfold Boos with a slightly different effect.

The swarm also only starts chasing after Peach makes noise. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:55, April 7, 2025 (EDT)
- From what I can see here they start chasing Peach as soon as she comes out of the pipe.Sorbetti (talk) 21:07, April 7, 2025 (EDT)
- Pretty sure it was because she started running, thought the Gloom-requiring ones may be an exception. Most only start when noise is made. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:09, April 7, 2025 (EDT)
Per policy, the title of a split page would be "Blindfold Boo swarm" (with "swarm" not capitalised). Hewer (talk · contributions · edit count) 08:42, April 8, 2025 (EDT)
