This segment is the Club Mario segment that aired alongside The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "The Great BMX Race," replacing the original live-action segment "Mama Mia Mario."

Plot synopsis

The segment starts with Co-MC telling Christopher Mulligan to zoom the camera out briefly as screeching sounds are heard in the background. He then tells him to change out of the shorts he is wearing after lunch, as he does not like them. He then asks if everyone is ready, with Tommy Treehugger adding that he and Co-MC are not keeping track of time. They then walk to the center of the Club Mario set, with Tommy asking if the producers if they can hear him when he speaks. They then count down from five with the Club Mario logo appearing afterwards.

Tommy and Co-MC express excitement over their show appearing on the TV again before introducing themselves to the viewer, with the former wearing a corded headset and checkered shirt. They then provide a synopsis of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "The Great BMX Race," with Co-MC asking Chris to zoom into his left cheek. Tommy then tells Chris to step back and clear the screen, as he and Co-MC will be going "satellite surfing." Co-MC, however, believes that they will be going into the cartoon, according to his clipboard. Tommy counters, saying that it actually says that they supposed to be going "satellite surfing," and he and Co-MC promptly "satellite surf" to Big Kid Theater.

Big Kid then appears, welcoming his viewers back to his show as a caption referring to him as the "world's largest 10 year old" appears at the bottom of the screen. He then shows clips from Radar Men from the Moon. During the clips, an astronaut tells his partner to prepare for take off as fast as he can, saying that he will ditch his spaceship. He then dismounts the spaceship while his partner drives off, causing the ship's passengers to fall to the ground. Big Kid then says goodbye to his viewers, mentioning that they should see him later.

After Tommy and Co-MC "satellite surf" back to their own show, the former praises the show as an "awesome session of satellite surfing." He then continues by saying that, this afternoon, he is wearing a checkered shirt because it is his and Co-MC's turn to direct the show, which Co-MC agrees to. He then tells the viewer that they can direct their own show, saying that all they have to do is move to a center of acting, get a job, and convince someone to give them a lot of money, explaining that, once they work for someone for awhile and they begin to like them, they will allow them handle all of the set equipment. Tommy then says that he and Co-MC will be watching The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, explaining that, when they return, they will be handling the set's cameras.

After the show, Tommy and Co-MC praise it as being a great cartoon. The former then says that they will be doing something "cool," and asks Co-MC if he wants to be a director, which the latter accepts. He then calls out to Chris, explaining that he will be the cameraman, with the former handing his camera to the latter. Co-MC then asks Chris to do a small tour of the set, with Tommy focusing on several parts of the set, including the barbecue, the potted plant, and their dartboard and surfboards, though also asks Tommy to zoom in on his face. He then asks him to show a close-up of Jeff Rose, a writer and creative consultant for the show who also plays Big Kid in Big Kid Theater. Co-MC then mentions that they are doing wonderful and on schedule, with him mentioning that they have about twenty seconds remaining. He then asks Tommy to pan the whole set to show what goes on behind-the-scenes on Club Mario, which he promptly does, showing more crewmembers for the show. Tommy then reminds Co-MC about The Legend of Zelda previews, to which the latter notes that they have ten seconds remaining. He then asks Tommy to count down from five, with the scene cutting to show previews of "The White Knight."

After the previews, the scene cuts back to Club Mario, where five guests can be seen, with Tommy introducing them as the New Kids on the Block as part of his and Co-MC's "Are You Bogus?" segment. Co-MC asks for them to introduce themselves, introducing themselves as Donnie, Bobby, Jordan, Joe, and Mikey (though the actual group never featured members named Bobby and Mikey), with a caption appearing at the bottom of the screen apologizing to the viewer that they are not the New Kids on the Block. Tommy suggests that the "New Kids on the Block" felling through a trapdoor and hit themselves, to which "Joe" replies that he did, causing "Jordan" to laugh. He then asks how this happened, to which he explains that it was an accident. Tommy then asks if "Joe" severely injured himself before asking the cameraman to get a closeup of the bruise. Co-MC explains to the viewer that he still "belts out" the tunes despite his accident. The "New Kids on the Block" ask if it is time to go, to which Tommy and Co-MC explain that they still have thirty seconds. The former goes on to explains that they made millions of dollars last year, received their own television series, and have many fans, explaining that many people love them, including him and Co-MC. However, he also mentions that they have to leave, with he and Co-MC saying goodbye to the viewer and to see them tomorrow, "where the airwaves are [their] waves," with a caption appearing at the bottom of the screen telling the viewers that Bull Dolphin, Inc. will promise to never allow Tommy and Co-MC produce another show. The segment ends with the "New Kids on the Block" asking Tommy and Co-MC if they are "bogus."

Notes

  • While Tommy is panning the entire set, Kevin O'Donnell and unnamed crewmember can be seen dressed as Jonathan and Bobby from the New Kids on the Block, spoiling their reveal of being "bogus" by Tommy and Co-MC.
    • On a related note, this is the only segment where neither Tommy nor Co-MC declare the guest as "bogus" during "Are You Bogus?", with the former explaining that they have to leave. However, a caption explains to the viewer that they are not the New Kids on the Block.
