"The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 Writers Bible" Biography[edit]

Our indomitable royal heroine is definitely no old-fashioned damsel-in-distress, who does little more than wait to be rescued. She's very much a charming, energetic, contemporary young woman. Chronologically, a seventeen-year-old, but with a royal sense of responsibility and noblesse oblige that few teenagers possess. Because of her intelligence and intimate knowledge of her domain, she often takes charge of the rescue mission and comes up with the clever plan to foil King Koopa's latest plot. Her people respect and admire her. She regards the Mario Bros. as her closest friends, and is extremely grateful that they have left their own world to come help save hers. It's no easy task rescuing a kingdom, and what makes it even worse in Super Mario 3,[sic] is that King Koopa's kids regard Princess Toadstool as their prime target for troublemaking.

Nintendo Comics System trading card[edit]

THE kind and (usually) gentle Princess Toadstool is the high-spirited heroine of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Bio: A slap hitter who can pitch the lights out.
  • Site bio: Princess Peach makes an excellent pitcher, fielder, and hitter. When she’s at the plate, keep an eye on her Heart Swing-it’s beautiful!
  • Collectable card: Mario may be Princess Peach's hero, but she won't need him to come to her rescue this time. An excellent pitcher, her Heart Ball leaves opposing batters dazed by her overwhelming charm.
  • Collectable card info for Team: The Peach Monarchs are a majestic team fit for a princess. As you might expect, Princess Peach often fills her team with her Toad servants. The only rule on this team is that whatever you do, you do it with style.
  • Collectable card info for Heart Swing: This is a pitch to remember. Princess Peach doesn't have a powerful fastball, so she hides her signature pitch in a flower of hearts. Even the most dominant hitters often find themselves too.
  • Collectable card info for Heart Ball: Princess Peach rarely hits with power, but she doesn't have to. With her special Heart Swing, all she has to do is make contact. Her hit will charm the fielder who tries to catch it, and she'll end up on base.

Princess Peach presides over the Mushroom Kingdom from her huge castle. Her loyal subject Toad does his best to protect her but always seems to fail spectacularly. Peach's ability to float is invaluable in Super Smash Bros. Melee, as she can return from incredible distances. Balancing this talent, though, is the fact that she's quite light and therefore can be sent flying with a single powerful attack. Her attacks are fairly weak, so you'll have to hang around to win.

Peach's Smash A attack will set her swinging with either a frying pan, tennis racket, or golf club. These bludgeoning devices appear randomly and have different reaches and power levels. • Mei Ling: Princess Peach is the beloved ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. She's been kidnapped numerous times by Bowser.
    • Snake: Sounds pretty serious...
    • Mei Ling: Yes, but every time it happens, Mario ends up saving her. Sure, he may not look like your ideal "knight in shining armor." A little on the short side, I'd say... But still, don't you think it's romantic? I mean, to have a guy who's always there for you?
    • Snake: If he was smart, he'd tell her to stop getting kidnapped.
    • Mei Ling: ...You don't get a lot of dates, do you, Snake?

An angry-looking vegetable will do extra damage, too! She can also pull up Bob-ombs, or even a Mr. Saturn! (American English)
Peach normally sticks to tasks befitting a royal, but her Vegetable special is pretty much farm labour! You can tell how much damage the veggies will do by looking at them. Happy/indifferent ones just do a bit, while the ones that just look sick of life do a lot. And the ones that look like Bob-ombs or Mr. Saturn aren't veggies at all! (British English)

You may think it doesn't look like a racer. You may think it would look more at home on a carousel. But Peach will have the last laugh as she sails past the finish line, leaving you in the dust. Peach's Final Smash is quite a spectacle to behold. Giant illustrations of Peach herself frame the screen, giant peaches rain down, and all the other fighters fall asleep. The closer they are to Peach, the longer they'll stay snoozing, giving Peach plenty of time to send foes flying or to recover her health with the peaches. (American English)

Palutena's Guidance[edit]

  • Pit: Oh, it's Princess Peach!
  • Viridi: Guess she's taking a break from being kidnapped.
  • Pit: I'm so glad we never have to worry about Lady Palutena. She can take care of herself.
  • Viridi: Really? Wasn't she imprisoned by Medusa for a bit there?
  • Pit: That hardly counts. After all, we were just freshmen back then. That would never happen now that we're more experienced!
  • Viridi: Peach has been in plenty of scrapes herself, so she ought to be quite experienced. And yet she never learns. Sometimes I wonder if she just lets herself get kidnapped for fun.
  • Palutena: I don't know about that. It seems like tossing vegetables is more her idea of fun. She'll pelt you with them the whole match if you don't watch it. But she can't reload when she's jumping, so keep your eye on what she's up to.

Tips[edit]

  • Low Gliding: Jump while crouching to float just above the ground. You can use air attacks quickly that way!
  • Side Smash Attack: Peach pulls out a tennis racket, a golf club, and then a frying pan. Remember that order!
  • Side Smash Attack: The tennis racket launches farthest, the golf club has the best reach, and the frying pan hurts the most.
  • Gliding: Holding the jump button will let Peach hover in the air for a short time. She can even attack as she floats!
  • Vegetable: The vegetables' emotions are picked at random. The sort-of-wrinkled-looking ones deal the most damage.
  • Peach Parasol: Press up and down to open and close your parasol and adjust your fall speed.
  • Peach Parasol: Peach can't grab the ledge if she's facing away from it and her parasol is open. Tap down to close it, though, and she'll grab on safely.
  • Vegetable: Of the eight types, the wrinkle-faced vegetable is the strongest. If you throw it while tapping in a direction, it can do over 30% damage!
  • Vegetable: Rarely, Peach will pull up a Bob-omb or Mr. Saturn. How rarely? Well, you have a 1/250 chance of a Bob-omb and a 1/166 chance of a Mr. Saturn!

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars[edit]

  • Official Nintendo Player's Guide: You won't be able to finish the game without taking the Princess into battle, especially against major enemies. Her attacks wreak the least damage of any hero, but her healing powers are unparalleled. Protect her with armor and accessories that max out her defensive capabilities.[109]
    • Who's Who: Princess Toadstool rules the Mushroom Kingdom with wisdom and compassion when she's not being held captive by Bowser, Booster or other opportunistic hooligans. Her Special abilities include healing skills such as Group Hug, Therapy and Come Back. But the Princess can stand with the toughest fighter and give as good as she takes. Whether she's armed with a stout parasol or an iron pan, she has definite knock-out potential.[110]
