Room 5-9 (titled Room 4-9 in the British English version) is the ninth course of Lava Dome in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.

The course features three Mini Marios.

Overview

Two Mini Marios begin on some ground near the bottom left; on either side of this ground is a pool of lava with a Lava Rock floating in it. If a Mini rides on the right Lava Rock until the Lava Fountain underneath it erupts, it will be able to jump up to a Cool Kong and grab its tie to reach a set of Conveyor Belts near the bottom right. If a Mini stands on the left Lava Rock and waits for the Lava Fountain underneath it to erupt, it can reach two Wall Jump Bars and use them to jump up to a Cool Kong on a girder near the top left. The third Mini Mario begins to the right of this girder, and to the right of this Mini Mario is another girder with two Cool Kongs on it. They can be used to bypass some nearby spikes and land upon the two Conveyor Belts at the top. The exit is just beneath the longest of the five Conveyor Belts; to reach it, the player should guide the Minis onto the Lava Rocks, then have them grab the Cool Kongs' ties and lead the Minis onto the Conveyor Belts until they land near the goal.

Mini Mario Card

The Mini Mario Card is to the left of the Cool Kong above the right lava pool. It can be collected by having a Mini Mario grab the Cool Kong's tie as the right Lava Fountain erupts, then hang on until the Cool Kong moves all the way to the left.
