Talk:Big Bully
What's the proof that Big Bully is a character, and not a species? Two Big Bullies can appear at one time in Lethal Lava Land. -- Son of Suns
They can? I've only ever seen one at once... - User: Ultimatetoad
- Beat the three regular Bullies on the island. A Big Bully will fall down. However, the first Big Bully (the one fought for the first power star) will still be on his island. -- Son of Suns
Ohhhhhhh. I stand corrected... - User: Ultimatetoad
That doesn't mean there's 2! that's just a glitch!
- The programmers could have easily removed one of the Bullies - it's not a glitch. -- Son of Suns
yes they appear to be very much a species. Luigibros2

Considering the Japanese name is "Boss" Donketsu rather than "Kyodai/Deka" Donketsu and we have now split the "Boss" Teresa from standard run-of-the-mill Big Boos, I think it'd make the most sense to have this article be about "the Big Bully" rather than any large Bully. And yes, it appears in two places at once... while that Big Boo appears in three, so that's not much of an issue. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:20, October 20, 2024 (EDT)
- So, just removing Mario Maker info, basically? Blinker (talk) 16:58, October 20, 2024 (EDT)
- And the treating Prince Bully as a member of this. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:01, October 20, 2024 (EDT)
- Eh. He's a boss, and he's a Bully. I mean, if being big is enough to treat the Yoshi's Island bosses as members of the respective "big X" species... Blinker (talk) 17:09, October 20, 2024 (EDT)
- Generally speaking, the use of "boss" in Japanese is reserved for "individual" ones more, like Petey Piranha (who has also been shown in duplicate once or twice, yet is still treated as a singular being). Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:17, October 20, 2024 (EDT)
- Hm, I guess that's fair. Although... Blinker (talk) 06:55, October 21, 2024 (EDT)
- My stance has pretty much always been to consider the Yoshi's Island bosses their own thing, because the magic doesn't just make them big, but they tend to gain features that distinguish them from their normal selves. I can take or leave Big Bully since their only major appearance as an actual regular enemy is in Super Mario Maker. LinkTheLefty (talk) 07:32, October 21, 2024 (EDT)
