Abbey Home Entertainment Group PLC was a home video distribution company based in the United Kingdom. The company is most famous for its "Tempo Video" children's label (which the company acquired in 1990), which released various VHS tapes of various cartoons.

The company released VHS tapes of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! from 1991 until 1994 through its "Tempo DIC Video" joint label with DIC Entertainment. These releases were also released in Australia and distributed through Pickwick Video.

PolyGram acquired a majority stake in the company from its founders in 1995 but sold it back in 1998, and two years later in 2000, the company was acquired and folded by the Just Group. After Just went into administration in 2002, the company was re-formed as Abbey Home Media and continued to operate until 2020, following the deaths of the founders.

Format[edit]

Super Show! tapes by Abbey Home Entertainment consisted of two to four animated segments and no live-action segments. The last release, The Biggest Ever Super Mario Bros. Video, contained fourteen segments.
