The Star Steal Trap is an item in Super Mario Party Jamboree. It is a circular panel with a Star and "×1" printed on a purple-checkered background. This item works just like the 1-Star Hex from Mario Party DS, in that the player can choose where to place it and it will steal a star from any player who lands on it, disappearing afterwards. However, it's different in that the Star Steal Trap can be placed on any space, regardless of what space it is or how far the player is from it, and it can only be placed within two spaces of the player's current location instead of five.
