Are these creatures related to goombas?SuperPaperFan 14:09, 6 December 2011 (EST)

Possibly due to their running sound effect. But it isn't official or true.Fuzzy in New Super Mario Bros. UYoshiGo99Artwork of a Yoshi egg on a tilt. It is unknown whether this artwork was released with a certain game or not.

Oh ok. So it's not offical so we can't list that they are. SuperPaperFan 20:35, 7 December 2011 (EST)

They look sorta like the SMW Goombas if u look at its feet and underside.--[User:16-Volt 21:21, 7 December 2011 (EST)

Even so, that's a bit of a stretch. There's really no indication what they might be related to, if anything. Lord Grammaticus 21:22, 7 December 2011 (EST)

I've got newz![edit]

Did any1 hear? There'z a new K'nex set based off of Super Mario 3D Land! :D It comez with a Prongo to battle! So, yeah, Prongo iz an official name. This makes me think. Doez this wiki ever talk about K'nex products? When Mario stuff iz involved it probably should. A Strollin' Stu as it appears in Super Mario Sunshine. BoygeyPumpkineer A Smolderin' Stu in the game Super Mario Sunshine.

Um, we do have some K'nex products on the Figurines page in our wiki. Mario (Santa)'s map icon from Mario Kart Tour Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 23:06, 30 July 2013 (EDT)

Official?[edit]

Is the name "Prongo" official? Just a question. Bob-ombRandomDSplayerBob-omb

How is these Goombeetles/spiked goombas?[edit]

They bear no resemblance at all and look a lot more like bullies. 148.252.141.130 05:00, September 24, 2024 (EDT)

Internal name is a combination of their respective Japanese names, and they use Goomba sound effects unlike other non-Goomba-looking enemies. That being said, I'd prefer this go in "relatives" or "comparable" since the connection is a lot less obvious in the finished product than whatever they were originally planning. I agree with classifying them as relatives. SolemnStormcloud (talk) 09:57, September 25, 2024 (EDT)
I would honestly do "comparable." I feel like "relatives" suggests they are related in a canonical, taxonomic sense (like the relationship between Hammer Bros. and Koopa Troopas) and I do not think we really know if that is the case. - Nintendo101 (talk) 11:31, September 25, 2024 (EDT)
I was iffy on considering them relatives myself, so I'll update that. SolemnStormcloud (talk) 12:23, September 25, 2024 (EDT)

I see, yeah they do make similar sounds. (talk) 13:52 September 25, 2024 (EDT)
