First appearance | Wario Land 3 (2000) |
A Count Richtertoffen,[1] or Richtertoffen II,[1] is an enemy in Wario Land 3. Their name is a pun on the Richter scale, which is used to measure the power of earthquakes. It is also a pun on Manfred "the Red Baron" von Richthofen, a famous pilot. They are rotund creatures classified as heavy enemies. Count Richtertoffen wear a blue shirt with an arrow drawn on it and black pants. They attack by jumping up, then dropping to shake the ground or crush Wario to trigger Flat Wario. They are used in the Action Help menu to demonstrate Wario's new moves against a heavy enemy. Wario can also lift these enemies after getting the Super Grab Gloves from The East Crater's Gray Chest. They can be defeated by using a regular Attack or a Smash Attack, but earthquakes from a powered-up Smash Attack cannot topple them.
Count Richtertoffen appear in the following levels, in the following quantities:
- Out of the Woods (1)
- Cave of Flames (2)
- The Warped Void (2)
