Super Mario RPG pre-release images
Hey, the pre-release images you've uploaded are truly appreciated! Just so you're aware, that "VideoGames" magazine is not the only source of many of those screenshots - it turns out Nintendo Magazine System (UK/AU) has many of the same ones, and even several more (I spotted a very different design of a certain "bugger" for instance). When I came across them, I was very shocked they didn't seem to be documented elsewhere! I plan to upload them in time for the game's 25th anniversary if possible, along with a neglected Japanese scan. LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:59, January 20, 2021 (EST)
- You're welcome! I know other publications likely had some pre-release images as well, but that issue of "VideoGames" magazine was the only one I knew for certain that has them. RHG1951 (talk) 14:14, January 20, 2021 (EST)
- I know this was quite a while ago, but I found a ton more since then, and I've started to compile it here (not even getting into the Japanese stuff, in which I see see even more differences down to the text). LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:36, November 4, 2023 (EDT)
- Building on LinkTheLefty's previous statement, I'm trying to help document this as well. Could you help out with this? I don't know how to upload images from websites, and I'd appreciate the help. Thank you! -- FanOfRosalina2007 (talk · edits) 14:21, November 24, 2023 (EST)

PMCS Things
Ey, you're doing a pretty good job with those Paper Mario: Color Splash Things! Feel free to let me know if there are any ones in particular I could help you with. Also, feel free to do some for Paper Mario: Sticker Star at intervals if you want - we're in the homestretch with both of those. Green Star 22:39, February 11, 2021 (EST)
SMG2 Site Images
Hey! I noticed you uploaded the correct version of the Hungry Luma image from the Super Mario Galaxy 2 site. Thank you for doing that. Could you share how you extracted the Hungry Luma image from the site? It is not seem to show up when I try to Inspect the page (Ctrl+Shift+I). There are a few other images from the site that should probably be preserved for archival reasons, such as the transparent pngs of planets seen here. - Nintendo101 (talk) 11:10, March 18, 2021 (EDT)
Other peoples' proposals
Hey, about the Smorg thing, generally speaking it's considered good form to wait at least a week or two (or at least ask) before enacting other peoples' proposals. I didn't have a chance to enact the Smorg thing as I just got home from work. I'm not mad, just letting you know. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:07, September 19, 2021 (EDT)

Thanks for letting me know. I will no longer upload any more images for the locations except for that one. Green Star 22:12, October 5, 2021 (EDT)
SMRPG locations table
Hey, when you replaced the locations list on the SMRPG page, you removed many of the officially distinct minor locations (many of which we do not yet have articles on), which is something I take umbrage with. Please add them back in some manner or revert, we shouldn't remove information for not having something as arbitrary as a map space. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:12, November 10, 2021 (EST)
- I think it works fine as it is now, since it's more accurate to how the game itself handles these locations with the map spots. The minor locations can still be mentioned within the main area's spot, such as Belome Temple within Land's End. Nightwicked Bowser 20:28, November 10, 2021 (EST)
- I think the main article for the game is obligated to list every location. As it is, places like the Vinery and the Challenge Course are skipped outright. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:09, November 10, 2021 (EST)
- In the interim, I thought of a good compromise: another column with a check or X depending on whether it is map-accessible. Also, I think Land's End and Nimbus Land could be differentiated by using the graphic without the beanstalk and cloud for Land's End. Also sorry if I came off as combative before, I was having a difficult time. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 23:45, November 10, 2021 (EST)
Image Submissions
Hey, I like your image submissions for emulator screenshots. Keep it up. I've had a screenshot guide that never left the sandbox stage to be implemented as policy or a help page (see {{MarioWiki}}). Not sure how well known it is amongst other editors. This is due to me not being 100% happy with explaining various quirks of recommended emulators to achieve the best results. Emulators are finnicky and very technical. It can definitely be out of reach for most people. I'm a bad writer. I feel like I excel at screenshots. Anyways, if you can, feel free to contribute any ideas to the talk page of my guide. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 10:39, December 24, 2021 (EST)
Wrecking Crew phases proposal
Hello! Since I had to relist my Wrecking Crew related proposal, I was told to remove your vote. If you feel like voting again, the text of your vote was as follows:
- "RHG1951 (talk) I think lists would better suit these games because of the abundance of phases and the more arcade-style gameplay de-emphasizing the importance of an individual level."
Have a great day! Spectrogram (talk) 13:32, February 17, 2022 (EST)

The doctor crygor article
Are you going to improve on it? I revised and added extra content dramatically since February. Now the Dr Crygor article is as long as Mona article. I was wondering if any of my previous efforts on this article should need to be improved furthermore. PnnyCrygr 10:39, March 4, 2023 (EST)
Crygor japanese bio's and profile pages
I tried my best to translate them from their original japanese langauge in the archived official japan sites for mega microgames, mega party games, touched, and smooth moves. Also the comment's he said to those frog drawing's in game and warii. Maybe you should revise my translation undertakings, if they have any translation inconsistansies. 20th anniversary of the WarioWare series
21 March 2023 is twenty years after the release of Made in Wario in Japan.
I think that this wiki needs more information on the series' characters (like personality, appearances, physical appearance). Fyi, I saw what you did on the Mona article today and yesterday (you improved it by rewriting paragraphs). Can you do the same for the other WarioWare characters?
- Jimmy T
- Dribble & Spitz
- Kat & Ana
- Dr. Crygor
- 9-Volt
- 18-Volt
- Orbulon
- Penny
- Mike
- Ashley & Red
- Young Cricket & Master Mantis
- Lulu
- etc.
Also, look at the Gallery:WarioWare: Touched!. As you can see, there are few screenshots regarding the game's story cutscenes (There's only two for Wario, one for Mona, one for Kat & Ana, one for Ashley & Red, one for the epilogue of Mike's stage, ONLY ONE microgame screenshot). Can you please capture what is missing and upload them to that gallery? Thanks for your understanding.

SVGs found in obscure official flash video of Atsumare Made in Wario
This is the flash video itself.
Hullo, RHG! I've stumbled upon an unknown flash trailer hailing from the Japanese WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! web site. I have also noticed there are color-perfect SVG images of the WarioWare crew (every single one of them!) that can be seen at the end of the video. Love how Dribble is punching Dr. Crygor by the rear end, how funny.
Can you please rip the SVG images of the Crew out of that SWF please (based on your experience of ripping SVG files out of SWF movies)? And replace the American over-saturated SVG files featured in that game's gallery with the Japanese color-perfect SVGs found in the newly-discovered flash movie? You can download it here. Thanks if you've seen it already ;)
UPD: Someone already extracted the SVG files from that same flash file, especially the ones for Dribble, Jimmy, and 9-Volt.

RE: Mona's Super Scoops
Have you seen the Mona Superscoop page? The problem? It's the images. Count them. There are only about three images of the scoop illustrations. Fortunately, DogToon64 at Spriter's Resource managed to rip out the scoop illustrations from the Game & Wario. If you are interested in upoading them to the Mona Superscoop gallery section, feel free.
link to the mona sperscoop illustrations
Also the game's own gallery has only two sprites: Home menu icon, and 5-Volt peeking at the window. There's lots of potential to be added there. PnnyCrygr 03:56, March 22, 2023 (EDT)
Wario Touched cutscene screenshots
Did you know that the gallery of that game needs MORE cutscene screenshots? If you have a DS emulator like Desmume, maybe you could capture the cutscenes in their actual res, and upload them there.

Comic bonbon manga
There IS a WarioWare oneshot manga that feeches Dr. Crygor. The link where you can browse it is here. I have already put Dr. Crygor's manga appearance into a new section on his page. Perhaps you can improve it? PnnyCrygr 19:03, March 28, 2023 (EDT)
hq render of dr. crygor
I extracted it from one of the mega microgames wallpapers (mushroom kingdom fansite) and reconstructed part of his side using procreate. Can you please analyze it? If it’s fine, you can replace the existing low-q image with the image below.

I found some Game & Wario image of dr. Crygor
It it was located in a Wario-related wikia, but I do not know the source, other than it came from Game & Wario. Was it from the GW site itself? Speculatively, the artwork can be found on the backside of Dr. Crygor's trophy in Sm4sh. Also, the wario wikia happens to apply unofficial transparency on any character artwork. Mona superscoop table
I'm planning on uploading every single scoop photo, and rewriting the Mona Superscoop article into an organized table. (Sandbox)
However, if I try to upload these https://www.mariowiki.com/File:MonaSuperscoop10.jpg https://www.mariowiki.com/File:MonaSuperscoop13.jpeg
I get warning that despite they being a .png, the system warns you that it already exits, albeit as .jpeg format. Should I keep the .png files and .jpg files, OR should we delete the .jpg's? PnnyCrygr

May I want to know what the other names for the cutscenes are in movie matters menu mega party game? I only found dreamy drive, groovy love thang, and shiner diner. PnnyCrygr 17:58, May 4, 2023 (EDT)

So that's where Young Cricket's name comes from! Thanks for adding that info. I'm a big fan of the guy!

About that thing i writes in Lava or Leave Em, I also writes something about that in Flip the Chimp and Mario je looks to like it. I writes something about a Koopa on the ferris wheel which doesn’t have a cart and that it’s unable for the player to see it, and Mario jc edited it with a few minor additions

Icon images
Are those in-game icons you're deleting? I've been starting to put in-game icons in their games' galleries for completion's sake, and while I haven't gotten to the party games yet as I'm focused on sports right now, if I ever do, I'll probably do just that. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:57, September 3, 2023 (EDT)

Smash redirects
This talk page or section has a conflict or question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment. |
Um, if I am to understand this correctly, the winning option merely meant "prune" as in "remove the categories on them and delete the categories that could no longer support themselves," not "delete the redirects wholesale." Our redirect policy still indicates they should stay, as who knows what linked to them off-wiki beforehand. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 11:25, April 6, 2024 (EDT)
- No, I'm pretty sure it meant deleting all of the redirects outright. "Prune" can mean trimming or cutting back. Where's any supporting info for the different Pokemon species? None. Super Mario RPG (talk) 11:34, April 6, 2024 (EDT)
- If that were the case, they would have used "delete" for both, not "prune" for the redirects and "delete" for the categories. Also, the information you seek is on the Smash items page under "Pokeball" currently, and I'm in the process of moving it to the individual Smash game articles. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 11:41, April 6, 2024 (EDT)
- Just talked to Camwoodstock on Discord and the intent of the proposal is to have the redirects deleted. - RHG1951 (talk) 13:31, April 6, 2024 (EDT)
- Not to bud in, but were the proposal voters not clear about the intent? LinkTheLefty (talk) 14:04, April 6, 2024 (EDT)
- Yes, we were. Super Mario RPG (talk) 14:12, April 6, 2024 (EDT)
- Not at all. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:38, April 6, 2024 (EDT)
- If you say so, but to be fair, none of us discussing the proposal here so far voted for Camwoodstock's proposal; I'm in agreement with Doc that the prune/delete wording was confusing, and if it wasn't, I'd probably have voted when the proposal was active. LinkTheLefty (talk) 14:41, April 6, 2024 (EDT)
- I voted on the proposal, and without the intent that the redirects would be deleted. I'm mixed on keeping these redirects, but I'm leaning towards doing so per our aforementioned redirect policy. SolemnStormcloud (talk) 18:29, April 7, 2024 (EDT)
- I think the redirects should be deleted. Over 60 or 70 already have been, and there's like no reason to want to hold on so tightly to information that can be found more in depth over at SmashWiki. Granted, I never registered there, but I think it's really silly that a select few here don't want to help out there for Super Smash Bros. content in general, which I'm sure SmashWiki would greatly appreciate Super Mario RPG (talk) 10:03, April 8, 2024 (EDT)
- The issue there is SmashWiki caters to competitive players rather than casual players. Anyway, I care more about the image history, due to the current "sports game" project I am working on; I want to move game-by-game images of items, Pokemon, etc. to the respective game page, and the list articles only have one image each usually unlike the original pre-merged pages. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:52, April 9, 2024 (EDT)
- SmashWiki is a good resource for Super Smash Bros. information, and I have zero problems with it. If you're concerned how content is being handled, talk to them about it. Because the root of why you want to keep Super Smash Bros. on the Super Mario Wiki is "I don't like how they do their coverage." There's literal millions of wikis out there on a wide variety of subjects. So what if, let's say, you didn't like how a Xenoblade wiki handled their content. Are we suddenly going to have full coverage for every Xenoblade game solely due to one or two users' disagreements? Of course not! Super Mario RPG (talk) 14:05, April 9, 2024 (EDT)
- You're putting words in my mouth now. This is a tired old debate that you weren't around for the first hundred times; Smash Wiki does not want to be handled in any manner but the overanalytical manner it currently is, and until very recently the extended Mario games had a disproportionately large amount of representation in the series for obvious reasons (since encroached by Fire Emblem for inexplicable reasons). Also, we're doing this on someone's talk page. Just... please stop being so overzealous in advocating outright deletion of things you don't want. (Also, pretty rich you're saying this to the owner of the Triforce Wiki, made solely because of Zelda Wiki's mis-handling.) Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 09:23, April 10, 2024 (EDT)
- @Doc von Schmeltwick: There's a conflict over the enactment of the proposal, and you were the first to comment on this very talk page, followed by a few others. I'm sure the site would appreciate if your problem on how other wikis handle their content doesn't become this site's problem as well. From what it sounds, if you were keen on creating a Zelda wiki due to disliking how one wiki handles their coverage, what's stopping you from starting a smash brothers wiki then for the same? This is not supposed to be our problem, nor is your Zelda wiki.
