The L33t Hamm3r Broz. (a.k.a. the Elite Hammer Bros. or simply Hammer Bros.) are a pair of Hammer Bros. from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. They were originally just like any other Hammer Bro. pair, until the evil Shroobs brainwashed them and ordered the two to guard the Vim Factory. They were forced to wear mind-control helmets which the Shroobs use to keep the Hammer Bros. under their control. While under the influence of the helmets, the Hammer Bros. spoke in the internet forum "language" known as 1337-speak (pronounced "leet speak"). As such the pair assumed the name the L33t Hamm3r Broz.

When Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi arrived in the Vim Factory, they were instantly confronted by the L33t Hamm3r Broz. After Mario and Luigi were captured by the factory's automated defenses, Baby Mario and Baby Luigi were forced to battle the L33t Hamm3r Broz. In battle, the L33t Hamm3r Broz. attack by using the Bros. Ball technique. Using his hammer, one Hammer Bro. would smash the other into a ball, then hit ball Hammer Bro. into either Baby Mario or Baby Luigi. To avoid the attack, the babies had to jump over the ball Hammer Bro. as he approached. Sometimes, the Hammer Bro.'s hammer would break, sending the ball Bro. bouncing towards a baby Mario brother. In this case, the baby Bro. should not jump, as the ball Bro. would simply bounce over the babies head.

After one L33t Hamm3r Bro. was defeated, the remaining Bro. was forced to fight by himself. To attack, the sole Hammer Bro. would toss spinning hammers that roll on the ground. To defend against this attack, the baby Mario bros. had to jump over the hammers as they approached. Ultimately, Baby Mario and Baby Luigi worked together and defeated the second L33t Hamm3r Bro.

After defeating the L33t Hamm3r Broz., the Baby Mario brothers destroyed their mind-control helmets, thus returning the Hammer Bros. to their normal state. Free from Shroob influence, the Hammer Bros. began to speak normally again (and even commented on the strange manner of speaking they had just been using). Grateful for being released, the Hammer Bros. gave the Mario babies their Hammers and taught them how to use the weapons in battle and outside battle.

The L33t Hamm3r Broz. battle is the second boss battle the Mario brother babies must fight by themselves.
