Talk:Midbus
Created By Fawful
Um... I heard MetaBoss is a robot created by Fawful? That's why there's a type of logo on him? And that also explains why he has odd features? And remarkable power? Or have I just heard a lie of some sort?Hyper Guy (talk)
I think the logo on his shoulder is a tattoo. Not that that helps. User:Lemmy Koopa Fan
Metaboss vs Bowser
I'm feeling a strong rivaly between these two. I hope we can see more of this guy in the future. User:Charmander
Midbus has similar attacks to bowser, a similar body size/shape, similar horns, spiked back (like bowser's shell), etc. He's like the fat, ugly version of Bowser.
- No, because, well, let's face it, Bowser is already fat (he fell through the floor of his castle!) and ugly.M&L Beware my fury! 23:18, 27 January 2012 (EST)
English Name Revealed
- August 2009's Nintendo Power magazine reveals Metaboss's English name, but I couldn't remember it long enough. I think his English name is Midbas or something, but you can find his English name on the latest Nintendo Power magazine, just to be sure. M&SG (talk) 10:42, 30 June 2009 (EDT)
- Actually, his name is Midbus. Maildiver 19:46, 2 July 2009 (EDT)
Not just a pig?
Midbus is also part armadillo, right? Face it, in one of his attacks he curls up like an armidillo. He can also possibly be part bull. HE HAS HORNS!!!!!
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ratfink43 (talk).
I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be a cross between an armadillo (proof:one of his attacks and his back) and a warthog (proof: not only does he have a piglike snout, the snout has horns just like a warthog, case closed).
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gamergirl550 (talk).
Ok, but that's just speculation. Does the game ever mention what he actually is? Fawfulfury65
No. He's just Fawful's second-in-command, or even a simple minion. This Is War 16:49, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
It does mention that he is a pig. Bowser said to Midbus in their first fight, "Taste defeat? You're going to taste my fist, you little piglet!" User:Comprev
- Yes, but Bowser wasn't a genius in the game, and he could have just been guessing that Midbus was a pig, or insulting his snout.M&L Beware my fury! 23:20, 27 January 2012 (EST)
Blizzard Midbus?
When Midbus changes into blizzard midbus, during the transformation besides getting blue in color and a crown it also looks like he got a bigger shell is that true?. User:MarioMaster720
Yeah and I'm pretty sure he gained a furry back as well.

Blizzard Midbus article
I think Blizzard Midbus should have his own article.Count Bonsula I need blood...
- Cackletta and Bowletta have their own articles, along with Fawful and Dark Fawful, so why not Blizzard Midbus and Midbus be in separate articles? Well, shall I make a poll for this? Fawfulfury65
Yeah, that will be a good ideaCount Bonsula I need blood...
Proposal
Template:SettledTPP Template:ProposalOutcome Blizzard Midbus and Midbus should be split, per the comments in the above section.
Proposer: Fawfulfury65 (talk) (with the idea from Mr Bones)
Deadline: 23 January 2010, 17:00
Split Blizzard Midbus and Midbus
- Fawfulfury65 (talk)- Fawful and Dark Fawful are split, and so are Cackletta and Bowletta. So why not Midbus and Blizzard Midbus?
- MATEOELBACAN (talk)- Per FF65.
- Mr bones (talk)- Yeah, we should seperate them.
- Baby Mario Bloops (talk) - Yeah, they do deserve their own articles.
- Gamefreak75 (talk) PEr all.
Keep it the same
- Walkazo (talk) - It's all the same guy so it should all be the same article. Bowletta is a combination of Cackletta and Bowser, so it's not as simple. However, I'm tempted to say Fawful's absorption of the Dark Star's power isn't significant enough to split his article, so if this stays together, I think Dark Fawful should also be merged.
Comments
What should I put for the deadline? Do we wait 1 week or two weeks? Fawfulfury65 (talk)
- Two weeks. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Got it. Fawfulfury65 (talk)
It's been one hour after this proposal needs to be passed. What are we going to do about it?? I will help the mariowiki a lot (talk)
Description
Midbus is a brawny, unintelligent, selfish, overconfident, ridiculous, trash-admiring, dyslexic, crazy, anthropomorphic pig/dragon
Sheesh, you're treating him like he's the most unliked character in the entire Mario universe. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- You've got a good point there. The opening sentence should be changed, especially because its just a big opinion. Fawfulfury65
Yeah, it should be changed!Count Bonsula I need blood...
Well, he is a lot of that stuff. We need something like that to be the opening statement for Wario or Waluigi. --Koopapoopa 02:01, Tomorrow (EDT)
The article has already been changed. I think it was Vellidragon. --Koopapoopa 02:08, 18 May 2010 (EDT)
Pig
Is there any proof at all that this guy is a pig? He doesn't even look like one. Fawfulfury65
- The trivia section claims he's half warthog and half armadillo. I don't see the "armadillo", but he does resemble a warthog. There's probably just as much proof that he "is one" as there is proof Wigglers are cateripllars; they resemble caterpillars though, and Midbus resembles a type of pig. It's not hard to see that he's not a real life pig, but there is imo nothing wrong with stating that he looks somewhat like one in the article's introduction. Opinions may differ here though.--vellidragon 20:59, 17 March 2010 (EDT)
- Probably this doesn't help, but Wigglers were actually referred to as caterpillars officially (SMW manual). Time Questions 06:26, 18 March 2010 (EDT)
- Meh, bad example then :p There are a lot of creatures in the Mario series that somehow resemble real world animals though without being referred to as those. My point is, stating that a creature looks similar to a real animal doesn't necessarily imply it is that animal or even related to it, but comparing a fictional creature to something "familiar" can be a nice, brief way of describing them (and often comes pretty close to how they look without having to go into detail), so imo there's nothing wrong with comparing Midbus to a pig to describe his appearance.--vellidragon 11:44, 18 March 2010 (EDT)

Infobox
Can someone please explain to me why the infobox here is pink? Shouldn't it be that yellow-greenish color or whatever? Fawfulfury65
- Yeah, why? It's not like he is any more special than the other characters. What next? Change Mario's info box color to red?
- FourPaperHeroes decided that he's gonna give each character its own color for its infobox. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Awesome. At first, I vetoed the idea, but that will make our wiki creative! I like it. We should start changing everyone's userboxes to match their color.
- Has the administration approved this?
- I don't think so. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
This is a big change, so we need to make sure we have admin approval. And we should bring this conversation to the main page.--Koopapoopa 26:97, 31 February 3040 (EDT)
Quote
I actually found the former quote "What?! Nobody pressed dance! You are broken!" better than the current "MUH MUH MUH!", as it reflects his use of broken sentences. Or is the latter quote a catchphrase of him in the English version? I don't know, I have only played the German one. --Grandy02 17:11, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- No, that's not really a catchphrase, but I don't think either quotes are that good. But I do think we should put it back to the "You are broken" one for now. Fawfulfury65
Well, MUH MUH MUH is kind of like his catchphrase or his verbal tik, because that's what he says all the time (in the english version). Its like Fawful's I HAVE FURY! Or his fururururur in the japanese version. Its like Mario's "mama mia" or the emoglobin's "globin" after every sentence.
- I thought we just used a quote, and not the character's catchphrase. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
Bowser vs Midbus: Rivalry or Not?
OK, 7feetunder, I've arrived. Now let's continue. How does their rivalry NOT matter? Midbus stands in Bowser's way a lot of time in the game, and it's pretty clear from their first encounter that a rivalry is brewing. What am I missing? 22:47, 12 July 2017 (CDT)
- The problem isn't that you're calling him A rival, but THE rival. As if Bowser's and Midbus's rivalry is the single defining element of conflict in the game. 23:58, 12 July 2017 (EDT)
- OH, DAMN! I'm so sorry about that. My bad. NOW I get it. You may proceed. 00:00, 13 July 2017 (EDT)
Best Fitness Friends
Apparently, the BFF is the same species as Midbus. Could someone see if that's true? It was on the BFF article but not Midbus's
The preceding unsigned comment was added by 73.211.59.47 (talk).
- It was mentioned in a developer interview that was cited on the BFF article. 13:19, July 4, 2019 (EDT)
- So should someone write that?
The preceding unsigned comment was added by 184.155.206.110 (talk).- We should, but there is no official name for the species, so we'll have to leave the BFF pages alone. I do second the removal of calling Midbus a pig, because Dieter, Kaley, and Beef aren't pigs. Personally, I think it was a bad decision to call them the same species, but that's just me. - AwdryFan1997 (talk) 13:06, June 21, 2020 (EDT)
- I imagined the "same species" talk as Midbus being a part of the species, and the BFF being made of Midbus-people, a sort of minced Midbus meat. Only an idea, but it might work.--Kitapio: Keepin' it cool since 2000 (not even close) 10:50, December 4, 2023 (EST)

Audience interaction
As noted in the comment I left, I only saw six coins thrown for each Excellent in both versions, which might be a case of "you only see six thrown, but the actual bonus is 10 per Excellent". Can someone confirm this, please? -- Lord G. matters. 10:39, April 1, 2020 (EDT)
