Do we really need a disambiguation page for this? I think the move is much more major than the mini-game, thus I say the article Ground Pound should be about the move, Ground Pound (minigame) about the mini-game, and the disambiguation page should be removed. What do you think? Time Questions 14:00, 26 June 2008 (EDT)

I agree.Knife (talk) 16:44, 30 June 2008 (EDT)

More opinions? If no one opposes, I'll remove the disambig page. Time Questions 15:15, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Possible Vandalism[edit]

Should we really have "Big Ass Hit" in the Names in Other Languages? We shouldnt have cusswords on this wiki, ESPECIALLY in mainspace. Mileycyrussoulja 01:46, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Do we even know that's actually what that means...? Cuz it's most likely not... ¡Feliz Navidad! PHOENIX (talkedits) 02:06, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

It seems to have been deleted, which is unfortunate, because I think that name is perfect. It's a shame it's not official. - AwdryFan1997(Talk)

Move to "ground pound"[edit]

I believe this should be at "ground pound". As seen here, it isn't capitalized in SPM. It's not capitalized on a sign in 64 DS when I was reading random signs. It's probably only capitalized in those games that it is so it will look better in a table, so it matches other stuff, etc.. PikaSamus (talk) 14:10, 2 July 2014 (EDT)

Capitalization in the Mario series is all over the map (i.e. "Mario Bros." itself is also rendered "Mario bros." a lot of the time), and if both caps and lowercase have been used, then why go to all the trouble of changing all the links and all the pages when "Ground Pound" has worked perfectly well for over seven years. Besides, it does look better as a title and in tables this way. Sometimes I think the trend towards lowercasing everything is getting out of hand: it makes sense for titles that are more like phrases (like "List of..." pages) or labels we made up (such as "General info" sections), but when it comes to simple, official names of specific things, I think we should treat them like names and leave them alone. - Walkazo 11:53, 4 July 2014 (EDT)

I don't think it should be capitalized. Gandalf (talk) 15:44, March 12, 2023

I believe a lot of games do capitalize it, so we should too. Mario jumping Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 12:16, March 12, 2023 (EDT)

SMO Brochure Info[edit]

In the brochure info for SMO, it says that the Ground Pound logo is said to have originated there; shall I add it to this article as well?

Splitting different types of Ground Pounds[edit]

Shouldn't Homing Ground Pound, Synchro Ground Pound, and Ground Pound Jump all be split from this article? After all, they are different variations of the Ground Pound with different execution and different effects. That makes a lot of sense. These moves have enough information to have their own articles. Red Oho Jee from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. OhoJeeOnFire (talk)
It's been done for Synchro Ground-pound. It just needs to be done for the other two. SONIC123CDMANIA+&K(B&ATSA) (talk) 10:11, December 20, 2022 (CST)
