Deep Sea Divers
Template:Minigame-infobox Deep Sea Divers is a 2-vs-2 Coin-collecting minigame found in Mario Party. To some extent, this minigame (as well as Tug o' War, Cast Aways, and Paddle Battle) was infamous for causing many hand injuries among players, leading Nintendo to provide gloves in a legal settlement.
Gameplay
This minigame is similar to Treasure Divers, except it is a 2-vs-2 game instead of a 4-Player game. There are many Treasure Chests in the ocean waiting to be picked up as the two teams prepare to grab as many of them as possible. One player on the team has to dive down in the deep ocean, grab a Treasure Chest, and return to the surface, while the other player has to use the boat to move around the area and help reel the other player with the chest back to the surface. If the player in the boat fails to reel the other player, the other player will drop the chest. The biggest chest contains 10 Coins, and is located at the very bottom of the ocean; it will require both members of a team to cooperate to bring it to the surface. A similar game, Deep Sea Salvage, appears in Mario Party 2.
