Banandelion

Shouldn't this page be moved to Dandelion stalks? It's the most recent name, and dandelions from the Super Mario Galaxy games are definitely not related to bananas. Wario (Cowboy) from Mario Kart TourWildWario (talk) 04:37, October 12, 2021 (EDT)

Move to Dandelion stalk

The reason is basically what I was saying above. It's the most recent name, and it just sounds weird calling the Super Mario Galaxy dandelions Banandelions. Plus, most people are probably going to search Dandelion when looking for these items (though they will get redirected to Blow instead), not Banandelion.

Support

  1. WildWario (talk) Per my proposal.
  2. RHG1951 (talk) Per proposal and MarioWiki:Naming's fourth "Naming an article" bullet point.
  3. Tails777 (talk) Per RHG1951
  4. Hewer (talk) If it's the most recent name then we should use it, and the name 'Dandelion' isn't even official, so per all. Also, I think the 'dandelion' redirect should probably lead here and we should add an about template for blow.
  5. OhoJeeOnFire (talk) Per all.

Move to Dandelion

  1. 7feetunder (talk) In context, "dandelion stalk" clearly refers to, well, the stalk of the dandelion, not the entire plant. That would be like using the term "tree trunk" to refer to a whole tree.

@7feetunder: You do have a point, so I'm adding another option. But like I mentioned, currently, dandelion is a redirect to Blow. Wario (Cowboy) from Mario Kart TourWildWario (talk) 00:07, October 15, 2021 (EDT)

So? Redirects aren't sacred. We can always just include an about template to direct people to the Blow article. Dark BonesSig.png 00:33, October 15, 2021 (EDT)
