Chibibos are Goomba-like creatures that resided in Sarasaland during the events of Super Mario Land. Chibobos slowly meander to the side, waiting to hit Mario. Their similar attack pattern is probably due to the fact that they are smaller cousins of the Goomba (according to an official Nintendo Power magazine). Once stomped or shot with a superball, they awarded Mario with one hundred points. After Nokobons, Chibibos are the most common enemy in the game, appearing in all kingdoms with the exception of the Easton Kingdom.

It should be noted, however, that the American version of Super Mario Land was rushed to completion Template:Refneeded, and therefore enemy names were left mostly untranslated (if not entirely untranslated). Due to this, Chibibos are more than likely true Goombas, whose Japanese name is Kuribo. "Chibi," when translated from Japanese, essentially means "tiny," so there's a chance that Chibibos are, in actuality, Micro Goombas.
