Quotes
Please note that adding made-up quotes is not allowed, as I've noticed some of the ones you added, like the one without Luigi uttering "Idiots!", were questionable. If they are in fact true and I've missed something, can you link me a source? And if you can, please specify where in the game you meant by "(after she heard Toad notice something)" and "(before a big explosion transforming in to a dazzling clear pipe)" (If you're referring to the intro, I don't believe she said anything). - To add to this, quote changes (especially those for major characters like Mario) should be discussed on their talk pages. 17:04, 13 June 2018 (EDT)
Mario quote
You should have a discussion before changing the quote. Thanks. Yoshi Egg 1990 17:03, 13 June 2018 (EDT)
Minor edits
Please don't mark medium-to-large edits like adding quotes (especially this) as minor edits. Only small edits like spelling or coding fixes should be marked as minor, not every single edit made. Mario JC 22:52, 13 June 2018 (EDT)
Please stop marking non-minor edits as minor on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
You don't need to check the box for every substantial mainspace edit. Please only reserve this for minor edits, as explained here (also linked above). In addition, there's no need to add a quote to every page. A quote should be added if it's important enough (like a catchphrase, or an explanation by the developer); simply adding a line solely because it's associated with the subject just makes it look out of place. Per policy, we must add audio files to 30 seconds. -- FanOfYoshi 03:08, July 6, 2019 (EDT)
Quote reference
Saying "I have a bad feeling about this" is common everywhere. It's not a reference to Star Wars; please stop adding this back in. Mario JC 23:51, January 14, 2020 (EST)
Bowser art
Hello, may I ask what's the source of File:MSOGT Bowser.png?
Shokora (talk · edits) 19:13, September 15, 2020 (EDT)
I would say his artwork's from the Nintendo Character Style Quiz.

- Thanks. Could you link to where you got it from?
I think I got that from a Fandom wiki: Hello Yoshi

Reminders
Hello, NoahAlexanderJohnson101. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. {{aboutfile |1=Subject of the image |2=Where you found the image |3=Artist |4=Describe edits, if any |5=Other versions (use file link) }} Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using {{aboutfile}} incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Hello, NoahAlexanderJohnson101. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: [[Category:Super Mario World images]]or [[Category:Super Mario World media files]] Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |

Voice clips
Hello, NoahAlexanderJohnson101. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common:
When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use {{character-artwork}}. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |

Also, audio files should be .oga, not .ogg. You can do this by simply changing the extension when you upload. Mario JC 19:13, January 22, 2021 (EST)
Additionally, you are putting the files in the wrong location. They should be in a media gallery, not just thrown onto the page somewhere. 21:15, January 22, 2021 (EST)
I just thought we might add voice clips to quotes, not only have a media gallery. NoahAlexanderJohnson101 (talk) 21:17, January 22, 2021 (EST)
- They don't fit there, they look incredibly awkward and out of place. Take a look at Cranky_Kong#Theme for example on how we set up media files.
- Additionally, if you find your edit has been reverted, contact the reverter first instead of just adding your change back. 21:20, January 22, 2021 (EST)
- Another problem I find with that is that it won't seem too consistent with other articles. The top quotes most characters use are not voice-recorded and are only shown in text-boxes. My point is most articles wouldn't be able to have that anyway, and those that do would just seem quite odd. Nightwicked Bowser
