Does anyone know what the difference between a Chikako and a Glitter is? All I know is that Glitter only appear in hard mode replacing Chikakos. Is it a more powerful version, or what?Knife (talk) 20:58, 7 March 2007 (EST)
- I wouldn't know. Is ther ANY difference, even in looks?
3D, Chikako has a face. Ick.
- They're probably the exact same thing, considering that the manual lists Chikako as "Chikako (Glitter)". It might even be a rare instance of a translated name, with the Japanese one left behind... --YellowYoshi398 21:07, 7 March 2007 (EST)
I can't see the Chikako's face while I playing game Music Video 123 (talk) 14:03, 15 April 2017 (EST)

Given this is roughly what it translates to, and the manual referring to it specifically as "Chikako (Glitter)," it seems like "Glitter" was a translator note that was left in due to rushing the translation. Anyways, I'm curious if we should consider moving this to Glitter. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 06:00, 26 February 2019 (EST)
- I would vote to move it to Glitter - tbh the only thing stopping me is I don't really have the authority Pallukun (talk) 15:34, June 24, 2019 (EDT)
- It is in parenthesis, though, and is overlooked in the other source. What is the name used in the Virtual Console version? LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:42, June 24, 2019 (EDT)
- I asked UltraMario3000 (talk) about it and, as it turns out, the 3DS Virtual Console version was only partially relocalized as this part still says "Chikako (Glitter)". Honestly, I'd motion to leave it as-is: it comes across as more of a poorly-implemented translator's note than an intended name. LinkTheLefty (talk) 14:15, June 25, 2019 (EDT)
