Mario earning 1-Ups in 1-up Blast

1-up Blast is a minigame found in Green Toad Houses in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The game is played in a room with tracks floating above four cannons. Moving on the tracks are balloons worth different numbers of 1-Ups. Each world has a different configuration of tracks and 1-Up balloons. To play this game, the players must each choose a cannon, then tilt the Wii Remote to change the angle with which their characters will be fired out of the cannon. Players must then press Two Button to fire the cannon. Players cannot get 1-Ups by touching the balloons themselves, and can only get 1-Ups by using the cannon. Each player will win 1-Ups equal to the total value of the balloons his or her character hits and pops. Each player can only fire a cannon once and each balloon can only be popped once. It is possible to pop all the balloons in one shot. If that happens, the minigame will end, as there is nothing left for the remaining players to pop.

  • 2-Up Balloon (World 4 to 9)
