Italics
You almost got it with this edit, but every instance of a game, magazine, or movie title has to be italicized. You got the header in the edit, which means you know how to do so, but it needs to apply to the content as well. 18:54, 21 December 2018 (EST)
You also don't need to italicise every link, just titles for games etc. Basically (as I noticed you're copying the format from other code on the page) the square brackets make the link, while the double apostophes make it italicised, so you just need the square brackets in this case. Please stop forgetting to italicise titles on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Please remember this. Alternatively, you can click the letter "I" icon at the top of the text box and type the name in. Mario JC 21:34, 7 January 2019 (EST)

Hello, Dogleader. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, images related to the game Super Mario World would use: or one it its subcategories. Media files would use: Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Another user recently missed this as well. For future uploads, on the upload page:
- After you remove
uncategorized
, it must be replaced with an appropriate category (found through the links above) depending on what the image depicts. So if it's an image from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate,
must be added in the "Summary" box. - Please also remember to select a license from the "Licensing" drop-down menu. If it's a screenshot, "Video game screenshot" must be selected.
