• During the Nintendo Direct on September 13, 2018, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe (pictured) was announced, and will be released on January 11, 2019. Luigi's Mansion 3 was also announced, and will release in 2019. The upcoming Yoshi game for the Nintendo Switch was named Yoshi's Crafted World and will release in spring 2019. Additionally, Nintendo announced new information on Super Mario Party, the Luigi's Mansion remake for 3DS, and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey; the latter will launch on January 11, 2019. Mario Tennis Aces will be updated on September 19, with a new online co-op mode and new characters. Isabelle was also revealed to be a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
• During the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Direct on August 8, 2018, Simon Belmont, Richter Belmont, Chrom, Dark Samus, and King K. Rool were announced as playable fighters. Additionally, the Metro Kingdom stage has been named "New Donk City Hall".
• WarioWare Gold was released in the Americas on August 3, Japan on August 2, Australia on July 28, and Europe on July 27, 2018.
• McDonald's has launched Happy Meal toys promoting the Super Mario series from July 24, 2018 through August 20, 2018.
