Super Mario Bros. (pinball)
Of course I haven't forgotten. I created Super Mario Bros. (pinball) a few days ago, and it took me ages. I'm now working on Super Mario Bros. Mushroom World.
- I'll see what I can do.
- The side of the cabinet has been uploaded, along with other views. See below;
- True. But it's not urgent.
- It may take me a few weeks. Info on these pinball machines are hard to find, and most of the info in the first pinball article was collected via YouTube gameplay videos. I also have real-life duties to attend to, unfortunately ;)

Super Mario Bros. Mushroom World
Hey LTIan. A quick update on Mushroom World; I've started the draft and uploaded a few images I found. Also, please see this image. I think the quality is good enough to obtain some of the Koopaling artworks from it. That Bowser artwork is also unique to the game. You can edit out the artworks as soon as you can if you want to, but if not I'll be more than happy to do so.
Also, please note that there may be a fairly small amount of photographs of the playfield for Mushroom World. I can't find any high-quality pics of the features of the playfield, unlike the first pinball article. Sorry :( Did you want to help me look?
- Okay :D But did you want to get the Koopaling artwork or not?
- By within, you mean the backglass, yeah? I'll be able to edit it out with photoshop.
- Some of the Koopaling artwork is unique to this machine, so I'll get all eight Koopas, including Bowser.

Update: Hiya. I apologize for the slow progression on SMB Mushroom World. I've done a lot of research this weekend and I've found a tonne of info and images and just today I've worked on the draft. I just need to fill the "Playfield layout" and "Gameplay" sections. The playfield info shouldn't be a problem, but there is very little info I can find about the rules/scoring system. But I'll see what I can do. Also I still need to get the Koopaling artwork (I won't forget!). Hope you are well.

RE:
Merry Xmas to you too, LTIan! Look what I have as a gift to you;
Like it? The unique artwork from the pinball machine. I just finished it off today, editing out of the background in Photoshop. I'm still collecting info for the article, but it should be finished soon. Thanks for your patience :)

Compare
The Wendy poses were similar, but not the same. Compare. Also I can get Morton on this pic if you want.

RE: Bigger Maps from NSMB2
Not as of this time can i increase the resolution.
Koopa Artwork
Hi. Where did you find that Bowser and Koopaling artwork? Did you make it yourself?
- Sorry, we don't allow fan reproductions of official artwork here. They will have to be deleted.

Nintendo Badge Arcade
The page(s) you recently created (Nintendo Badge Arcade) has/have been put up for deletion, has been deleted, or turned into a redirect. This may be because it violated at least one of the policies and/or guidelines of the Super Mario Wiki. There are some things you can do to ensure this doesn't happen again.
If the article has only been tagged to be deleted you can still fix or expand it, but an administrator may delete it at any time, so please act quickly. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing! |
It looks like you simply copied and pasted the info from the Wikipedia page onto here and asked for improvement from others. Please do not plagiarise info from Wikipedia or anywhere else. You should create an article once you have enough info of your own. Thanks. Mario JC
- No, this and that are for completely different reasons. You should be fine as long as you don't do it again. Mario JC
Please Fix AboutFile for File:Castle bleck by acrossthedimensions-d6ui8z9.png
Hello, LTIan. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. {{aboutfile |1=Subject of the image |2=Where you found the image |3=Artist |4=Describe edits, if any |5=Other versions (use file link) }} Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using {{aboutfile}} incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Please Insert the EXACT link of where you got the file from. I will go set the copyright for you. If you plan on using this file on your user page, add {{personal-image|LTlan}}. If you need any more help, contact me or an admin. Have a good day - ThatDragonFromBrazil 20:06, 17 February 2016 (EST)

Reminder
Please stop creating stub articles on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Even though I made a small expansion to the Mario encyclopedia book page, creating new stub articles alone is still a level one offence, and you were already reminded about this before. When creating an article, it should generally be at least 350 bytes (The size can be checked on the History page). And while we're happy to add to it, some effort should still at least be put into the first edit; Don't have one sentence worth of info. Thanks. Mario JC
Koopalings
Why did you do the same exact edit after you knew it was removed before? If you saw my summary, the reason I removed it was because even though it's been implied the Koopalings will appear, we don't know if all of them will appear in the game, let alone as bosses (Take Mario & Sonic Rio 2016 and Paper Jam, for example). It's better to just wait for more info to come out, so unless you have a source, please don't do it again. Mario JC
- Sorry, but info shouldn't be added "just in case" they're true. They never directly mentioned anyone besides Morton, so why list the names of the Koopalings that haven't even been shown yet? All Nintendo said was that "the Koopalings" will appear, so to be on the safer side, it should appropriately be left as "Koopalings". I'm sorry if the listing bothers you, but that's how it should be for now. Again, wait for more announcements on them, then they can be added. Mario JC
Bowser
Again, however likely it may be, please stop adding info on the off chance it's true; only add if it is true. Unlike the Koopalings, which were confirmed, there is no source stating or mentioning Bowser's involvement in the game, so don't list his name as it counts as false info and speculation. The "Others" section is not there for that kind of info; it's for characters that have been confirmed, but with currently unspecified roles. Add any more speculative or unsourced information and you will receive a warning. Mario JC
Reminder
Please stop entering speculation into articles about upcoming games on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Please stop adding all the Koopalings into the page, so far only Morton Koopa Jr. has been confirmed so let's just leave it at that also please source the edit if you really did see it thanks. (talk) (edits) 04:38, 22 July 2016 (EDT)
- Please read carefully what's been said to you; I never said you should add the other six names, just those that have been explicity confirmed (that is, the "Koopalings" and Morton). Nintendo confirmed the Koopalings would appear as bosses (but never stated their names), and Morton was shown in some gameplay footage, so I don't see anything wrong with having the listing be just "Koopalings" and Morton's name. Considering we're dealing with upcoming content, that's how it should be for now; the rest will be added once we have a source that 100% confirms their appearance, by name or otherwise, so please stop adding their names "just in case" (as I've stated twice before already) or remove Morton's name. We're not going to restructure something just because it "aggravates" someone or doesn't meet that person's expectations. Mario JC
- Can I at least rename the 'Koopalings' in the Bosses section to 'Koopaling' since only Morton's name is shown? It can still be linked to the Koopaling's article. It's just that I don't like having a plural word like 'Koopalings' paired with only one singular name like Morton's. It's that kind of grammar that really gets me mad. --LTIan (talk) 11:36, 25 July 2016 (EDT)
- It's not a matter of incorrect grammar. The 's' isn't there because one Koopaling (Morton) is listed. As Mister Wu stated, the Koopalings as a group were confirmed. That's why it is in plural form. Morton is just listed there because he is part of that group, and the reason he stays is because he is the only one shown, mentioned by name, and confirmed, by Nintendo. Mario JC

With your recent stub article Holo-Peach, it doesn't appear to me that you're improving, considering that you've already been reminded in the past about creating new stubs. Please allocate more effort in your articles rather than simply writing one or two lines, along with very poor and careless formatting, and then expecting other editors to fill in the holes. Review our manual of style. If you do not have access to resources that can provide you with adequate information, work on something else. Given that you're already blocked, you are already on your way to another ban (likely a perma-ban) from the staff if you do not show improvement immediately. It's me, Mario! - What the HECK is wrong with creating stub articles? I thought they would be good for users to further edit them?! Where in your Rules does it say that Stub Articles are not f'ing allowed?! --LTIan (talk) 00:35, 19 November 2016 (EST)

- You know what? I am not a researcher, ok?! I am a speculator! I speculate a lot of things! It's what I do! I am not researcher who spends all his time researching these things! I make speculation articles because I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THEY DO EXIST! If you think spectulators should be allowed on this wiki, then why not make a rule of it?!--LTIan (talk) 00:48, 19 November 2016 (EST)
- Stub articles aren't encouraged because they are so scant in content that they convey virtually no useful information to our readers. They are better off as a red link to show immediately that we have no information on the subject. Our own policy, the Manual of Style states the following:
- "Please do NOT create tiny articles just for the sake of filling in red links. Even if the article you are making is about a minor subject, try to put a decent amount of effort into it rather than a rush job.
- "Newly created stubs will be deleted automatically so try to add a decent amount of information to the page you are creating."
- While judgement on what's a stub or not varies from person to person, I concluded that your article is a low effort stub because it is poorly formatted (no categories, game isn't italicized, no navigational template), has only a few sentences and has deliberately empty sections. If you want to create an article, but cannot do so in a single sitting, create your own sandbox page in your userspace, edit from there, and once it looks acceptable for a standalone page, then create the page and copy-paste the content. Or, you can put a decent amount of effort with proper formatting (like categorizing and adding a navigation template) and writing adequate information for at least one or two of the locations of the article subject and then tagging it with {{construction}} and {{image}} if you are unable to obtain an image. What's not acceptable is creating an article that has barely any useful information to convey and expecting editors to fill it in. That's not how article creation is intended to work. Please stop operating on that mindset as it will not take you very far in this wiki. Focus on making an honest effort contributing substantial and useful content if you intend to create articles. We don't need your help "kickstarting" articles since anyone can create an article.
- Even if there isn't a rule on stub creation, saying that "there isn't a rule on it" is not a good counter to MarioWiki:Don't shoot your foot off, especially if several users, including a MarioWiki patroller, has called your action into question. Instead, listen to our advice and warnings and you'll avoid scenes like you're creating right now and you'll avoid getting banned here. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 00:54, 19 November 2016 (EST)
- May I just jump in here and say speculation isn't allowed, sorry dude. We need to research this stuff to earn more information on it. Take Lindsay151's interview with Kenny James for example. (The best voice actor too btw). You need to either research the information or e-mail the subject not just guessing like "Oh hey my predictions are right." But you have so very little info to go off of. I mean yeah I'm not trying to be rude but this site needs proof, all the info here needs to be fully accurate. Also stubs are allowed on certain cases when very little info is known about the subject like here but I may interview this particular subject someday to expand the page. Either way, please don't speculate here again unless it's true. Thanks. (talk) (edits) 00:56, 19 November 2016 (EST)

When I created List of Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam pre-release and unused content, I just took the information from Paper Jam and moved it to the article with no changes and created a link to the page. The only difference between the article I created and the article you created is the amount of information collected before the creation. Under different circumstances and users, articles created just to fill red links may or may not warrant a warning to a user (I looked at the rules). The end doesn't always justify the means. It is how the means are used. Please don't add articles that have little to no information that you know about them. One last thing, do you have the game, or are you just interested in it? In the formal case, you can easily work on expanding the article. In the latter case, try finding a YouTube Video. If you want to be lazy and not do it, tell me here. - I need help with the Holo-Peach article. I only just got started on it and I didn't have enough time to finish it, ok? That's why I left it a stub. I do not have the game because I do not have the Wii U. I don't even know if it will be playable on the new Nintendo Switch.--LTIan (talk) 01:44, 19 November 2016 (EST)
- I mean you could've just said that instead of speculating, we're here to help. I've actually played the game so I may be able to expand the page and maybe add an image. :) (talk) (edits) 01:46, 19 November 2016 (EST)

As I said, if you don't have time to finish an article you're working on, you're always welcome to create a userspace sandbox page and work on it as much as you want. Once it looks like a solid article, then you can create the page and copy-paste from there. I don't think anyone's going to take your work, but if they do, just accept it and move on. And if you don't have the necessary information to create a substantial article, don't feel obligated to create it. Nothing is in a rush here. It's me, Mario!
