Attack Pieces are special puzzle pieces that were introduced in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and reappear in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and the upcoming game Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. These pieces are usually found in singular areas, and collecting ten in a will grant Mario and Luigi with a powerful Special Attack/Bros. Attack.

Dream Team
Attack Pieces make a return in Dream Team, but this time, they grant different types of attack. In the Real World, Attack Pieces grant a Bros Attack to one of the Bros. In the Dream World, they instead grant a Luiginary Attack to Mario.
