Hooski
Template:Species-infobox Hooskis are clay statue-like characters that first appeared in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. Their name is a portmanteau of "Hoo" (as in Hoohooligan) and "-ski", which is a Slavic suffix indicating the people belonging to the root word to which it is attached. Based on the pronunciation of the combined name, "Hooski" is most likely a pun on the term "Ruski", slang for a Russian individual. They resemble Hoohooligans from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga but are brown instead of green and tend to use the phrase "hoo" in their sentences. They also resemble the Beanish species. Additionally, there is a trading quest in Wakeport that involves Mario and Luigi having to trade items with the inhabitants of Wakeport in order to acquire an appropriate proposal gift for a Hooski about to propose to a female Hooski, the Hooski rewarding the Bros. when successful.

Trivia
- Just like the Hoohooligans, Hooskis bear a strong resemblance to haniwa, clay figures buried with the dead during Japan's Edo period, as well as bearing a resemblance to the Gyroids in Animal Crossing, which are based, in turn, on the haniwa. The Hooskis' brown skin strengthens the resemblance.
