The Ancient Clue is a sheet of old paper in Super Paper Mario. Blappy holds this paper hoping with this he can find the treasure, the Pure Heart. When Mario and the gang come, he sells the Ancient Clue for 1,000, 100 or 10 coins (depending what the player answers to his questions).
The Ancient Clue is kept in the "Important Things" section until the gang come back to the bathroom where Fleep is. Mario gives the Ancient Clue to Fleep, and Fleep uses the Ancient Clue as his toilet paper. The Ancient Clue is never seen again in the game.
