SSB Original Characters

Jigglypuff appears in the original Smash brothers game as an unlockable character. Strangely enough, though this is noted on the SSB page, she is placed in the SSBM new characters section on the SSB template found in the various smash brothers characters bios. I've gone in and corrected this in the template. Feel free to move the placement of the link to anywhere else in the template (as far as the order of the characters being listed goes) if it is more fitting. Cheers! :3 --Carrie 09:12, 30 November 2006 (EST)

Zero Suit Samus & Giga Bowser

Should Zero Suit Samus and Giga Bowser be included in the Brawl section or not? I think they don't fit in here. (Giga Bowser should be in the non-playable section because of his Melee appearance) - Cobold (talk · contribs) 14:17, 18 July 2007 (EDT)

Zero Suit Samus stays out, she is part of Samus' Final Smash. Giga Bowser goes into Non-Playable. Simple as that. My Bloody Valentine

If they have their own characters section on the official site, they stay. Tadaa!2.gifPlumberTadaaa!.gif 13:42, 21 August 2007 (EDT)

Zero Suit Samus has her own section, Giga Bowser is filed merely in Bowser's section. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 13:45, 21 August 2007 (EDT)

About this template

Can be this template changed into a complexive table? For example like this, with other colors and so on.--Caith Sith 08:25, 17 November 2007 (EST)

Looks great! Though I had to remove the categories from this talk page. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 08:39, 17 November 2007 (EST)

Why are the Pokémon and Assist Trophies on the list? My Bloody Valentine
They are characters, with or without articles. Various Pokémon has his own articles, indeed (Entei for example), and the rest are redirects to the main article. And, is in the future we did articles about them... --Caith Sith 22:29, 17 November 2007 (EST)
OK, but don't use their redirects. Just link them directly to the Pokémon and Assist Trophy pages. ;) Also, face it, we will NEVER make articles on the Poké Ball Pokemon. =| They are too minor. My Bloody Valentine Fix'd! =D
Huh... ok, but i think that a Pokéball Pokémon, for example Chansey, who have appear in various games, is not minor. Is exactly like an ability of Super Mario RPG or a Mario Party minigame. 3-4 sentences and a picture... no? I think the same about Assist Trophy, but this is not the point :P. However, Do you like the template? can i complete it and replace the old? (and sorry again for my bad english :$)--Caith Sith 22:47, 17 November 2007 (EST)
I agree, the Poké Ball Pokémon articles would be about the same size as a SMRPG attack or MP mini-game article. HOWEVER! Because the Pokémon are from a different series, they are not as major as an attack or a mini-game. Get it? Also, heck ya! Replace the old one! ;) My Bloody Valentine
Hehe, ok, i got the idea at last :P. Sorry again ;). I go to complete the template ;). But i think the same xDD, if a Pokémon appears in various games (Goldeen in the three SSB, for example) maybe we can consider to make an article of it.--Caith Sith 08:52, 18 November 2007 (EST)

What about the characters in the stages like Peppy Hare? -- Mr.Game and Watch 09:06, 18 November 2007 (EST)

Huh... i put in the template ALL characters appeared in the series: enemies, characters that affects the gameplay in stages, pokémon, assist trophy, and cameos itself. Take a look...--Caith Sith 10:03, 18 November 2007 (EST)

What happen with the template? looks very bad now :/. We can't undo the last changes?--Caith Sith 18:03, 11 December 2007 (EST)

I smoothed out some unrelated and unneeded code (and removed the lists of Pokémon), but I don't know how it affected the blank lines that suddenly appeared. I don't know how to fix the problem, because this template uses exactly the same code as {{SSB Moves}}, which doesn't have the blank lines. :-/ We'd need an advanced coder to see through it. Possibly Wayoshi. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 12:47, 15 December 2007 (EST)

Merged?

Why are all the games in the same template? Wouldn't it be better if they were separated? Sprite of Yoshi's stock icon from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tails777 Talk to me!Sprite of Daisy's stock icon from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Split the 3 Templates

I don't know if there is a reason why these are all merged, but I think they should be split. There is no reason they should be merged, they all have different content and they're meant for different games.

Support

  1. Tails777 (talk) Per me
  2. LeftyGreenMario (talk) I don't see why this template is merged. The Mario Party series don't have all their games merged. And when it comes to game series with similar sizes, the Mario & Luigi series also have split templates. I don't quite get why this is merged. It's not that the content in the navigation template is too little by themselves or that the series is too small to have separate templates. It would also unnecessarily lump other games into an article that deals with an exclusive. For instance, you have to put this template in a Melee-only article (the Parasol, for instance), but you get links to stuff pertaining to other games. So, I'd support splitting this template if there aren't any good reason otherwise.
  3. Walkazo (talk) - For consistency with every other game-based template.

Oppose

  1. Mario7 (talk) Since it is not a mainstream Mario series, the templates should stay merged

Comments

@Mario7: The Mario & Sonic games aren't mainstream Mario games and they get separate templates. This should be no different. Tails777 (talk)
