Coin Challenge Pack C

Template:Coinpackbox Coin Challenge Pack C (named Challenge the Record C in Japan) is the third of three Coin Rush packs to be released on December 5, 2012. It was originally intended to be the sixth DLC pack, but the release of the Gold Classics Pack in late November due to players getting 3 billion coins resulted in it being bumped to 7, while Platform Panic Pack, the original #7, was bumped to 8. Like the first and second Coin Challenge Packs before it, it is rated three stars out of five in difficulty and costs 2 blocks by itself to download.

Course 1

Template:Levelbox A beach level with themed rooms centered around every single power-up in the game. Mastery of each power-up to navigate these rooms is required to get as many coins as possible.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: In Racoon Mario's room, Mario must use the Racoon Leaf to fly to the upper area. The Star Coin is on the left hand side.
  • Star Coin 2: In Mega Mario's room, Mario must use the Mega Mushroom to go all the way to the right hand side. The Star Coin is located inside a square of blocks only Mega Mario can break.
  • Star Coin 3: In Gold Mario's room (the final area), Mario must perform a triple jump through the spikes, following the lines of coins. The Star Coin is located high up and can be collected midway through the third jump.

Enemies

Course 2

Template:Levelbox An underground desert level focusing on the Gold Flower.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: In the first Underground room, Mario must obtain a Springboard from one of the blocks. Before entering the pipe, he must use the Spring Board to reveal two invisible blocks up above, attached to either wall. Mario must use these to take the Springboard up to this new area, and then use the Springboard to enter the yellow pipe up above, containing the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: In the room with the Midway Flag, Mario must wall jump up to the top left to find a secret route. The Star Coin is located within a square of blocks. Two of the bottom blocks are Multiple Coin blocks, and must be successfully hit enough times to turn gold in order to remove them and access the coin. If Mario fails to turn the blocks gold, the Star Coin becomes inaccessible.
  • Star Coin 3: Near the end of the same secret route containing Star Coin 2, Mario must navigate down to the bottom of the area with the blocks he can walk in front of. The Star Coin is in plain sight.

Enemies

Course 3

Template:Levelbox A volcano level with a down-going Bonecoaster ride.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Found in plain sight on the way down the first shaft. Mario can reach it by destroying the surrounding Brick Blocks with a Gold Flower, or by hitting the POW Block below the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: At the bottom of the first shaft, when the Bonecoaster begins to go right, the Star Coin can be seen against the far left wall. Mario must quickly jump over to it, and then wall jump to get back on the Bonecoaster before he falls in the lava.
  • Star Coin 3: In the second shaft, going up, the path very briefly splits into two sides. Mario must stay on the left, where the Star Coin will appear next to the wall.
