• In the latest Nintendo Direct, The new Coin Rush downloadable content of New Super Mario Bros. 2 which includes three course packs, were released in Japan, Europe and Australia on October 2, 2012 and in North America will be released on October 4, 2012.
• The upcoming Wii U console (pictured) was announced with release dates of November 18 in North America, November 30 in Europe and Australia, and December 8 in Japan.
• New Super Mario Bros. 2 was released in North America on August 19, 2012, in Australia on August 18, in Europe on August 17, and in Italy on August 24 as a retail cartridge.
• The Nintendo 3DS XL was released in Australia on August 23, 2012 and North America on August 19; in Japan (as Nintendo 3DS LL) and in Europe on July 28, 2012.
• Nintendo has announced the release date for Paper Mario: Sticker Star as November 11, 2012 in North America. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon has been delayed for a 2013 release in North America and Europe.
