Study (Luigi's Mansion)
The Study (Japanese: 書斎 Study) is one of the many rooms found in Luigi's Mansion; it is found in the first area.
When Luigi enters the Study he finds it clear of any enemies; that is, until he looks toward a nearby rocking chair which contains the portrait ghost Neville. Attempting to attack, Luigi sees that his flashlight and Poltergust 3000 have no effect. Trying to find out how to defeat this bookworm wraith, Luigi notices that when Neville yawns his heart can be seen. Stunning Neville with the flashlight, Luigi manages to beat him and gain the Key to the Master Bedroom.
The Study is a small room filled with books and bookshelves. A fireplace is lit in the back wall. The ship-in-a bottle mounted above the fireplace and the desk in the room can have the Poltergust used on them. A Speedy Spirit is hidden in the chair behind the desk, and a Gold Mouse can be found beside the chair. To find it, the player has to use the Game Boy Horror to look behind the desk, then search a piece of cheese. A book called E. Gadd's Guide to Ghosts can also be found in the Study which reminds Luigi how to defeat Ghosts.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl in the Luigi's Mansion stage, the Study appears as one of the rooms.
