Great
WOW! You upload images like lightning! You should be repromoted to sysop! GalladeBlades
If you didn't actually check more closely, those are just compressed images I process - all part of the image maintenance routine. This was even before I was demoted. I have other stuff to worry about, so I really doubt I'll get repromoted for quite a while. --RAP... 23:31, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Transparency
I don't think people realize it, but when you have to cut out the white background you're cutting out small fractions of the actual colors that make up the artwork on the outer area of the render. Therefore, it leaves some sharp edges here and there. Do you know what I mean? UhHuhAlrightDaisy 18:12, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
Before: Transparency:
You see how before you did the transparency the outline wasn't as cut out and choppy? UhHuhAlrightDaisy 18:15, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
Ah, well. That's a bit of a consequence (result of the action) in my part - but considered beneficial. You see, the majority of the artwork PNG images used to be JPG images (nowdays, we can find PNG images in the internet from Nintendo press kits easily - such as File:Yoshi_MSW.png, but not always :p. The image you showed me came from a Mario Mania page, in JPG form), or likely scanned images from other sources. If you can see in the original Lemmy Koopa image, there were defects and noise around the image; the white stuff that makes the image appear less sharp. You can see it closely by the eye, or painting the background black by using MSPaint to see the defects.
Removing the noise is beneficial, but might cause a sharpening effect depending on how much white was removed around the image. My apologizes if I pushed it too much, the editing program I used is GIMP - it's not bad actually. --RAP... 22:42, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- You need to stop adding transparency to images, seriously. And also, adding a reply on your own talk page doesn't let me know you've replied to me. UhHuhAlrightDaisy 09:52, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
- Considering that UhHuhAlrightDaisy is not appreciating the transparency that you're adding to the PNG artworks, maybe you can just stick to image compressing. Speaking of which, I think that I'm feeling guilty for doing something like that to a few artwork images for Mario Super Sluggers. M&SG (talk) 01:00, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
- The problem with making transparent backgrounds is what UhHuhAlrightDaisy stated above, along with the fact that not all artworks have white backgrounds (such as the Super Mario Galaxy artworks). Also, adding alpha layers actually causes PNG images to use more memory than before; especially when you take into account the number of transparent colors.
Either way, it's not easy to do transparency to artworks when so many of them are always saved as JPEG images (which can't have transparency) on the gaming websites like GameSpot and IGN. M&SG (talk) 15:05, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Once again, please stop adding transparency to artworks. UhHuhAlrightDaisy 03:56, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
Your Talk Page Format
Oh, also, I made a edit to your talk page and reverted it because I'm not allowed to edit people's comments. So you can revert my latest edit if you want to go back to that revision (but this message that you're reading right now will disappear). That revision allows people to press the "+" button at the top of the page to add a new comment on to Wiki Discussion. The current format doesn't do it properly...anyways, hope you like it! - (laughs like Iwata) The game is indeed released in Korea for the region-exclusive iQue Player. I found the logo at the iQue website, but I think it's already changed already. You should try digging around, I think they didn't clear out the old stuff yet...not sure though. NIWA Dicussions
Hi
I (Slipknot Darkrai there) have left you a message on NintendoWiki (NIWA). Can you get to the message plz. Besides what happened on not being on wikia anymore? I love Wikia!!! Kaptain K. Rool
- I forbid anyone from asking for sysop powers; tis suspicion and resentment from regular users. If you're talking about the NintendoWiki itself, the wiki was created as a in-house project, not moved from Wikia, and please read this. --RAP... 12:00, 12 March 2011 (EST)
- Hmm... okay then... you like Lemmy Koopa as your favorite. Besides I am sorry that 2257 was unwise on removing your sysop privileges. I think that just wasn't right. Besides check NintendoWiki and plz delete the pages I tagged for deletion. Is it okay if Tacopill promotes me sometime or whenever because you don't seem to be active there much...Kaptain K. Rool
- Indeed my favorite. I don't play much Mario games anymore though, I'm moving on to other Nintendo franchises and revisiting some games, such as Twilight Princess, and Spyro 3. Ah, I see that you spotted that, there's a bit more to it - but in general, I don't feel like talking about it. I'm not very active in NintendoWiki because I'm working on other NIWA wikis, providing some very fresh artwork images there (tis to clear out my folder that have them for more than several months!) I'm also preoccupied with life outside the computer, school and all that. --RAP... 12:31, 12 March 2011 (EST)
- I browse this wiki. That is why. Another question. Why don't you ask for your powers back? I am sure you can probably gain them back by now. Kaptain K. Rool

I sent you a message on Nintendo Wiki. Please respond. Supremo
- My apologies dear user - I'm preoccupied with summer school in the recent weeks and I'm resting at home. Right now, my hands are a bit tied up right now. XD I will try to make a response around Saturday afternoon. --RAP... 14:25, 22 July 2011 (EDT)

Response to the deletion of the "New Super Mario Bros. Coin World" article
I suppose I can, but I can't let a conjecturally named two liner be created. You can either make it a sub-page of yours until you get more information or keep the information on Toys#Other Mario-themed games for now. For merchandise, the criteria to having an article is the availability of content. For example, Super Mario Bros. Mushroom World does not have it's own article despite being officially named and being a arcade game.
Anyway, here is the content:
Conjecture New Super Mario Bros. Coin World is a medal arcade game developed by Capcom. It was revealed in late December 2010, and is currently in the testing phase. <gallery> File:NSMBCoinWorld1.jpg File:NSMBCoinWorld2.jpg File:NSMBCoinWorld3.jpg File:NSMBCoinWorld4.jpg File:NSMBCoinWorld5.jpg </gallery> stub ==References== <references/> Arcade

I was blocked?
Okay, I tried to create a signature, and it says that RAP blocked me. I did not do anything wrong (not that I know of), so why am I blocked from creating a signature?
- Who are you dear user? I have no idea what are you talking about (mind me that I haven't been here very much lately). --RAP... 14:25, 22 July 2011 (EDT)
?
alright, Nimcompoop, gimme a GOOD reason why U deleted User:Fg. Gumball of the Stars (talk)
- Do you mean the user, or the userpage itself? Users can't be deleted under any normal means. Fg's userpage was erased because for cleanup reasons - if the user doesn't have anything good to say in the userpage and instead simply posts spam, or unnecessary content - it will be deleted. Checking that the user you are talking about isn't banned infinitely - why would you want to see his userpage? He hasn't been around since 2009 as far as the data recalls. --RAP... 14:25, 22 July 2011 (EDT)
RE:<gallery> tags
If you're asking how to make 5 images per row the default rather than something that has to be added to each gallery manually, adding $wgGalleryOptions['imagesPerRow'] = 5;
to localsettings.php should do that. Of course, only Steve can edit localsettings.php, so you'll have to talk to him about it. - 2257(Talk) 16:49, 22 July 2011 (EDT)
- That would be it, thanks! And I'll definitely tell ol'Porple about it...as soon as I'm done dumping the leftover images into MarioWiki territory. --RAP... 16:57, 22 July 2011 (EDT)
RE: MSS cards
It looks fine; I actually have the back images too, but since this is a bit of a tiring project, I'd appreciate it if you could work on uploading some of them. - Turboo 18:10, 22 July 2011 (EDT)
- Alrighty then. :) Which set of images you're going to tackle? Depending on the time that is. I need to know so I can plan accordingly, and upload other images that are not related to MSS cards. I'm currently tackling for the back images for Level 1 (another 41 images) - maybe you can tackle the Front and back portion of Level 2 (48 images combined); and then if we're both done - I'll take on Level 3 back cards (12 images), and you'll take on the Level 4 back cards (5 images). Is that a deal? With both of us working together, we'll finish it faster! :P --RAP... 18:20, 22 July 2011 (EDT)
- I'll try to get all of the level 2 images later on tonight. - Turboo 22:48, 22 July 2011 (EDT)
One More Delay...
Hey RAP, due to several things popping up at once (reports and work that are due at the beginning of the school year and the fact that I need to be away from the computer at about 6 PM your time), I'll have to postpone our interview for one (final) time: tomorrow at whichever time works for you. Things just aren't looking very good for me being able to do this tonight for the proper amount of time it should run, and if you can let me know what time you will be on tomorrow, that will be great (the interview will probably run anywhere from one to two hours, so you should be sure that you will have this time to spare— I'm 100% certain I will have that time to spare tomorrow). I'm prepared for what will go down and have a general list of questions as well, so just say the word and tomorrow our plans shall commence. Thank you for putting up for the constant rescheduling on my part. · SMB (Talk) · 19:46, 25 July 2011 (EDT)
- On another note, I passed on the message you told me to bring up to the staff members about the NIWA Skype Discussion. Just thought I should tell you so you know. · SMB (Talk) · 19:54, 25 July 2011 (EDT)
Question
How do you find/make images like this in high quality? Super Waluigi 18:00, 5 November 2011 (EDT)
- Those images came from the Donkey Kong Country manuals/strategy guides that can be found online. Unfortunately I'm not sure if it is there or not, it's been a while since I uploaded those images. Google it I suppose. :p If you're curious of why I'm in the wiki, my presence for today is to change the licenses due to the Template:Game-sprite license. Not every image has been checked, and no one seems to be tackling it so I'm doing it right now. --RAP... 18:04, 5 November 2011 (EDT)
- Remember the link for the online strategy guides? Super Waluigi 18:06, 5 November 2011 (EDT)
Re: Hey!
Yeah, when I made that special code to stop me from giving you any more PipeWarnings, I forgot to change the PipeWarnings already on your page, so they were looking very unprofessional. Either way, yes, the Pipe Plaza is due on the 12th (I sent you a PM on the NIWA forums about it).
And it's nice to see you back and editing again! Licensing images is important! It's also the reason you're the top contributor even after going inactive for a few months. ( | )
Hey uh
Where did you find the M vs. DK image logo you found? Or if you made it. How did you do it? Super Waluigi 18:43, 6 November 2011 (EST)
- That file? It's another image that I can't remember where I found it. That image came from my Dropbox folder; and I'm cleaning up right now to make more room. It hasn't been thoroughly cleaned since last year and I need to do this. --RAP... 18:51, 6 November 2011 (EST)
Re:
NIWA isn't moving along very quickly at the moment so I don't blame you. At least you told me (kind of) before the duedate (you told me before the release date, and you told me it might be late, which is good enough). And I might consider myself a minor brony - I watch the episodes but I am definitely not as in to it as some other people. ( | )
- To be fair, sadly I didn't even look toward the NIWA forums due to unforeseen circumstances regarding my schedule (thankfully it's going to be the end of another 6 weeks but I gotta keep it up). Anyway for the ponies, maybe we can expand that a bit more further. I can understand that there are people who just watch the episodes, and some like the fan-made content. If you want to discuss this now here (or communicate in alternative terms, I won't say for privacy reasons) I'll start, when did you first came into contact with MLP:FiM? --RAP... 02:45, 18 November 2011 (EST)
- Heh, I'm fine with talking about MLP - it's not much of a secret. And I first watched it under the constant urging of SM on chat - he got me to look at the pilot a few months ago and I actually didn't like the pilot. Me not liking the pilot was what convinced me to look at the first episode, and then that got me hooked.
- And don't worry about your 'shroom sections - real life stuff always comes first. I just really need to know if it's not possible for you to send in your sections for organizational purposes. (
| )
- I meant the fact that we could talk about it PM or IM to avoid making attention. Communicating through this is not the best way as it's not real time. For me, I was noticing one of my friends having a pony avatar, and I don't really mind at all. I haven't thought about it, as this was back in March or April. Later then, my friend showed me this video of Ponycraft 2 and I thought "This is very interesting", I talked to my friend about it and informed me that there's a good show going on, as it's a phenomenon of the show gathering an unlikely audience. I watched the first episode, attempting to warm up for it, and loved it. I was one of the few people who watched the show with an open mind, not knowing what to expect. I learned that Lauren Faust was behind this show, who worked on Powerpuff Girls, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, two shows I watched when I was younger. Man, the show is very expressive and top-notch. It's not the best cartoon in the world, but with the cynicalism surrounding everyday life and especially the internet, it's a life-breather of hope. There's a lot of charm crammed into it, and the fact that it's made in Flash, I couldn't believe the fact the animation is fluid under these circumstances; as Flash is used to cut corners, making movement jerky and robot-like at times. --RAP... 20:22, 18 November 2011 (EST)
- Sorry, I saw your message, but before I could respond I had to eat something. When I got back I forgot about it. Anyways, one of the things that I like the best about the show is the humour. I can't really pinpoint any specific reasons that the humour is good, but it just makes me laugh whenever I watch it. There's a lot of clever jokes in there that I really like. And I have a policy to never judge a book by its cover - I was always willing to give MLP a chance before watching it (despite what I'd heard negatively about it) but I just never went for it until SonicMario urged me into doing it. Hi, RAP/Archive 15!
Please PM Marioguy1 your Pipe Plaza section on the forums (our forums, which one did you think?) by no later than December 10th. Please remember to save a copy in your outbox. If you can't, tell me, and I'll be sure to work something out.
In addition, this issue of The 'Shroom is a Special HOLIDAY Issue! In addition to your regular sections, you are invited to write one or more special guest sections on any topic, and should submit your special section on December 14th. You are not required to write a special guest section for the Special Holiday Issue, but it is encouraged. There will be awards given out in the issue for the best writers for The 'Shroom, so be sure to impress us this month! Season's greetings to everyone, and an excellent New Year!
'Shroomingly yours,
