In World 8-1, the player must go to the Reversible Platforms area. Then, they need to make the Spiked Ball cross the first Reversible Platform and reach on the second, timing correctly to crash with another Spiked Ball shot by the shooter near the platform. This Spiked Ball occasionally will fall with the half on the wall.

Invincible or White Tanooki Mario can be used to destroy Bowser Boxes. However, if White Tanooki Mario were to ground pound onto a Bowser box, the game will start to lag as the box explodes. The "explosion" will continue and the game lags until the player jumps off of the exploding box. A harsh grinding sound is heard during the explosion, and a sound resembling that of a vine coming out of an item box (in Super Mario Bros.) can be heard as the glitch starts (strangely, vines like this do not appear in the game). The glitch can only be done on levels such as World 2-4 where Bowser Boxes appear, and the player cannot have completed the level yet or else the Invincibility Leaf Assist Block will not appear. Regular Invincible Mario does not cause this glitch to occur. [1]

In World 8-1, Mario must take the Spiked Ball before the Reversible Platforms to the end of the flipping platforms. The ball will shake between the platform and the ground in the other side. Meanwhile, the camera shakes, until Mario jumps and the Spiked Ball falls.

Koopa Troopa Trick
Whenever a Koopa Troopa is found near a wall or plateau that Mario can make its shell slide back at him in a straight direction, he can infinitely stomp the shell gaining infinite lives. In World 1-2, for example, Mario must step on the rectangular ? Block behind the first Koopa Troopa and go to the Koopa's direction. Stepping on it right will make the shell hit the block and the wall quickly. The plumber must jump in the shell and will jump on it several turns, and get many 1-Ups. The trick can also be performed in World 1-3 and World 4-1,[2] among others.
Goomba Trick
In World 2-4, the player must go with a Super Leaf to the first Template:Conjecturaltext. There, he/she must jump on a Goomba and flutter jump in the air until another Goomba be launched and be stomped. Making it several times without touching the ground results in infinite 1-Ups. This can also be done in Special 1-3 at the Goomba area.
Pom Pom Trick
In any level where she is fought, Pom Pom must hit the ground after being hit. In this time, Mario must jump on her and continuously hop on the shell, gaining lives in the process. [3]

When Mario or Luigi jump into the air above a platform, their shadows pass through the platform and reach the ground.[4]
Template:Conjecturaltext
In World 4-2, the player must jump in the bouncy platforms near the end of the level. When Mario jumps in the far left platforms, they will cross the ground and back instantly.

Where ever a Statue Leaf is, The player must grab it and press R as soon as they touch it. Mario or Luigi will be a statue but the power-up sound will play. This glitch is very hard to do as it requires very good timing.
Template:Conjecturaltext
When Boomerang Mario enters into a Toad House, he must throw a boomerang and quickly leave the room. The Boomerang will disappear near the door.
Template:Conjecturaltext
In any level with a Template:Conjecturaltext, Boomerang Mario can throw a boomerang right as he enters the Template:Conjecturaltext, and it will not disappear. That leaves Mario to having to wait at least 5 seconds for it to fly back to him. This also applies to Mystery Boxes found within levels.
