A Spania.

Spanias are a sub-species of Spinias that are found in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Unlike most sub-species who are either weaker or stronger than the true species, Spanias stats are exactly the same as Spinias. In fact, the only real difference between Spinias and Spanias is that, while Spinias are green, Spanias are orange and possess spikes on their heads, meaning jump attacks won't work and will prove to be counter-productive.

Stats and Tattle Information

  • HP: 3
  • Attack: 1
  • Defense: 0
  • Location: Rogueport Sewers, Pit of 100 Trials, Glitzville (In Chapter 3 only, appears as The Destructors after The Hand-It-Overs leave the roster)
  • Tattle Number: 48
  • Tattle Log: A Spinia with spines on its head. If you stomp on it, you'll take damage. For whatever reasons, it looks really peeved.
  • Tattle: That's a Spania. A Spinia with spikes on its head. It looks meaner, too. So, sorta the same as a Spinia. You oughta watch out for the spikes on its head, but otherwise, just whale on it. I gotta be honest, though, the way that thing spins makes me wanna yack.
  • Other: Occasionally, Mario will encounter Spanias holding items. They have been seen with both Thunder Bolts and Sleepy Sheep. They also sometimes are equipped with the Pretty Lucky badge.
