Is it confirmed that Shy Guys and Red Yoshi will be playable? I saw them in the trailer playing. However, players weren't controlling them. McQueenMario
- Well, normally they would be played by a human, but there's the possibility they aren't playable... So, as I said, cite your sources or die. If anything is not proved, it must be removed. --™ The 'Shroom 04:46, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
I found information that the game will be released in North America on January 4, 2011. No comment... - WiiRevolution
No, the release date for this game is 2/7/2011, or February 7, 2011. Looks like the game magazines lied on this game! - Reddragon19k
[…]and much more.
Does anyone have proof for the line in the intro that claims this game will have more than the four sports that have been shown? I was under the impression that the sports in this game were limited to just those four. - 2257(Talk) 10:31, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
Hopefully. Nintendo wouldn't limit gameplay to 4 sports. *googles it.* Damariogamr (talk)
WTF?
Why do people keep deleting my edits? This happened on the Mario Superstar Baseball article, too!
Because not all of the sports have been confirmed! And if we don't know how many sports are found in this game, that trivia is useless and may be wrong.Count Bonsula I need blood...
Rosalina
Any one know if Rosalina will be in this game? That would be pretty awesome! New Super Mario
- Nothing has been confirmed. --™ The 'Shroom 00:42, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Square Enix
I saw that the developer was Square Enix. Does this mean maybe Moogle and Ninja, and also some other characters from Mario Hoops may return? New Super Mario
- We don't know yet. So, we cannot put that...yet.Count Bonsula I need blood...

- OH, I need to pay better attention X_X anyway, we can't add anything about Moogle and Ninja until it is confirmed --™ The 'Shroom 20:09, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Wi-Fi confirmed + 7 New Characters
Hello! I have some news! ^^ On the Japanese website of the game, they revealed some info! Here -> Mario Sports Mix. It shows us that Wi-fi is confirmed! That's a great new! Also, if you go on the Characters's page, you can see 7 more hidden characters. Sambiss Talk
That means the hidden characters , are from the final fantasy series. Birdobeauties bye bye Birdo, toadette, rosalina T_T
- Ummm... not necessarily. --™ The 'Shroom 20:00, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- If we're lucky, then probably. If we're REALLY lucky, then definitely. And if we're UBER-lucky... Neox 17:34, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

Last Character
We have 18 confirmed playable characters but there's a hidden character. Who could be? Birdobeauties
Yeah maybe Birdo is the last hidden character. Birdobeauties I hope so---
There's no need to discuss it since it was just confirmed on the Japanese website. And no, it's not Birdo as she was clearly shown as an audience character. Tomboytastic 01:21, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Monty Mole
someone add Monty Mole to the non-playable characters list. He is is in the background of a arena. --Dry Bob-omb 13:45, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
Slime Power!
A Slime in Mario Sports Mix? How can he Play? He Is a good character and I can't wait to play as him, but really? I'm glad he is a character, but there is only one Problem; He has no arms.
P.S. Sorry BirdoBeauties, but there is a new player in town from the Dragon quest series and his name is Slime!

- Firstly, you can discuss about this in the forums. Secondly, Goomba in Baseball. Enough said. Ray Trace(T|C)
Europeon Release date
I'm confused. I thought that the Mario Sports Mix release date for Europe was January 28, 2011 according to this link: http://gamefocus.ca/?nav=new&nid=11923
But now when I checked the article for Mario Sports Mix again on this wiki, the release date is February 4, 2011. Does anybody know if Jan. 28th is the real date or Feb. 4th?

- We usually check the Nintendo official sites first; the Nintendo Europe website has this game's release listed as February 4, 2011. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 01:51, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
Okay. I must have gotten the wrong date then. Thanks!

USA Release Date
I went to my local GameStop and checked the release date book and discovered that the release of th USA version of this game is January 4, 2011.

- I don't trust stores for offering release dates. I rather rely on official websites or other places. Ray Trace(T|C)
- My point exactly; it's best to wait for news from Nintendo of America themselves regarding when Mario Sports Mix's release date in NA will be. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 02:53, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- On second thought, you're right. I went to the GameStop site it says it'll come out February 1, 2011. Here's the proof: [[1]] KoopaWiki1989

Final Boss: Behemoth
The final fantasy character Behemoth is confirmed to be the final boss. Why isn't it mentioned anywhere in the article. Proof is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEJmzi-daXQ Someone should add it already! User:MarioMaster720

Edit from Last Week
Waluigi Pinball and Koopa Troopa Beach need their own articles. I tried to do it last week but I couldn't do it easily. Also some courts should have another name outside Japan like Bowser Jr.s Bvld.
Sincerely User:ED120
Players
I got MSM game, but there's no characters like White Mage, Moogle, etc. Here's screenshot: [3]. Do I have to unlock them somehow? SWFlash
- I've never played it, but I can already say this: yes. They were confirmed to appear in it. Fawfulfury65
Courts that still need articles
The following courts still need an article:
- Koopa Troopa Beach (court)
- DK Dock
- Bowser Jr. Blvd.
- Table Western
- Waluigi Pinball (court)
- Starship
- Ghost Ship
I created a Table Western article that got deleted. One court may have a different name outside Japan. Someone should create them.
Sincerely Sonicewan

Unlocks
I unlocked Black Mage in Dodge ball by beating Star Road for the first time. I received Ninja for all four sports and Black Mage in only Dodge ball. I was a little surprised since I did not see him in any of the missions. I also used Peach and Daisy in over 20 matches and did not receive any alternate outfits. --Sonictoast 02:16, 23 February 2011 (EST)
Ahah! IGN says you get black Mage by beating Star Cup four times. That's what I did! That should be added to the page. --Sonictoast 02:42, 23 February 2011 (EST)
Has anyone unlocked the three Toad colors by using Toad? I'm not entirely sure that what I've inputted is completely accurate; for instance, is Green Toad really unlocked by using Toad 25 times, or is he unlocked by using him 20 times. M&SG (talk) 22:48, 26 February 2011 (EST)
- I unlocked Toad's three other colors using Toad. I remember unlocking Blue Toad by playing 15 times, Yellow Toad 20 times, and Green Toad 25 times. So the current information is correct. Ray Trace(T|C)
Split?
Should we split Basketball/Voleyball/Dodgeball/Hockey/Sports Mix from here? SWFlash
- Nah, they are separate game modes; they can be incorporated into this article easily. However, the current information we have is just the bare bones of the mode; we need more description. Ray Trace(T|C)
Behemoth Battle Controls
I'm in a bit of a pickle with the controls for the Behemoth Battle. While I have the Wii Remote (horizontal) controls down, I don't exactly know the controls for when you're using the Wii Remote with the Nunchuk attachment; I've only played the game with the Wii Remote (horizontal) control scheme. If anyone has fought Behemoth with the Wii Remote + Nunchuk control scheme, please tell me what you know. M&SG (talk) 07:50, 8 March 2011 (EST)
- Well, how you move around is the same for dodgeball, you dodge in the same manner by shaking the Wii Remote. You toss the ball by pressing A and you use motion controls for volleyball to hit the ball. You can also shake the Wii Remote to use items. Slam dunking is also shaking the Wii Mote upwards. Press and hold the Z button to use the sword thing. I think it's basically it. Ray Trace(T|C)
What this article lacks
Story (Warning: spoilers! Toads found 4 crystals and ended up giving it to winners of 4 sports. After winning them the crystals merged and suddenly worm hole appeared, in it heroes battling Behemoth). Thanks, BabyLuigiOnFire and Arend!Trivia. Thanks, Arend! How to unlock courts. Thanks, Arend!Reupload this image.Thaks, M&SG!
- Trivia sections are actually not recommended unless you have a useful piece of information that doesn't fit anywhere in the article. Fawfulfury65
- I may be a bit crazy, but the game itself don't have a story... "technically"; so why are folks saying that the background about the Tournament mode needs to be added? The important factors that need to be mentioned (which I believe have already been done so) is the Tournament Mode process itself, which also includes working toward the final battle moments with Bethemoth. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 14:56, 14 March 2011 (EDT)
Now since Arend made the story section, it now lacks images. I'll upload one soon. SWFlash
- Done. SWFlash
Seems that everything is done. The nly thing is Sports Mix section, and we can support that FA "proposal". SWFlash
We're almost done. But there are still some things missing. Here are some other points this article lacks. Most of the tings are optional though.
- Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
Longer Sports Mix sectionHow many games need to be played to unlock a court- Right now, the table says Play a certain number of matches with every court
The way how to unlock the court in Tournament mode is complete!
Record Book Page 2 needs screenshots from Basketball, Volleyball and Hockey
- Regarding Sports Mix mode, that's basically all there is to it. I don't think anything else can be added to it. Yeah, all you're doing is playing a random sport in a harder tournament mode. Ray Trace(T|C)
Screenshots
This page has beautiful HQ screenshot. This is obviously a good thing, but I did notice something. Right now there are 19 screenshots on this page.
- There is 1 screenshot with Hockey gameplay and/or menus
- There are 4 screenshots with Volleyball gameplay and/or menus
- There are 4 screenshots with Basketball gameplay and/or menus
- There are 8 screenshots with Dodgeball gameplay and/or menus
- There are also 2 screenshots that can depict any sport
As you can see, around 50% of the screenshots use Dodgeball, so it's quite unbalanced. Fortunately, most of the screenshots show menus, but it would be nice if at least the Record Book Page 2 section can get screenshots for every sport, instead for only Dodgeball.

Trivia
Uhh Toad is playable in the Mario baseball series. Why does it say this is his first time since Mario Tennis 64 he was playable?
Nobody knows if the Toad in Mario Baseball is Toad or a random Toad. The Toad in Mario Baseball has a red fest while Toad has a blue fest. rend (talk) (edits)

Glitch
I found a glitch but I'm not sure whether to make a glitches page because it would be too small. What should I do? Yoshiwaker File:Orange Yoshi TTYD.PNG 09:18, 18 April 2011 (EDT)
- You could at least tell us what glitch you have found. SWFlash
- On Wario factory in dodgeball (maybe basketball too), if you use a special shot just as you step on a conveyor belt panel, it won't move during the special shot. Yoshiwaker File:Orange Yoshi TTYD.PNG 09:45, 18 April 2011 (EDT)
Special Moves? (Separate pages?)
Has there been any plans to making separate pages for each character's special moves? Mario Hoops 3-on-3 has the character's special moves with separate pages, so shouldn't the Mario Sports Mix special moves have their own pages? Some of the shots already have names thanks to the ones from Hoops, so the information from MSM can be added to those (eg. Jr's Graffiti shot). I feel that these moves definitely deserve their own pages, as they were all unique and notable.
Also, has anyone been able to upload any pictures of the special shots? I have been looking around for images of them both inside and outside of the Wiki, but I have yet to find any that are of good quality...Propeller Toad (talk) 12:31, 19 October 2011 (EDT)
