Shouldn't this be merged wth Goomba? Like the Pumpkin Head article, it's just a Goomba wearing an object on its head for proection... Mr. Guy the GuyPickle.png Talk!E

Nah. You can tell they have a different physical appearance (Their eyes are Yellow and they lack the pointy fangs), and unlike the Pumpkin Heads, you can't remove their protections and turn them into normal Goomba. -Blitzwing (talk · gnome work)

Why ASTRO Goomba? That Astro comes from astronaut, and Astronauts wear helmets WITH A WINDOW. And these ones without. And, there are already Goomba's in space without helmets. Do you see something with a helmet besides this one? NO. I think the armor helmet of this goomba is just for protection. ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits)

I think this shouldn't be merged with Goomba, since it's face has a different appearance, and if it's not a Goomba, why should it be named Astro Goomba? Also, why should it be named Astro at all? It only has a helmet, nothing suggesting it would be anything astro. Maybe helmet goomba or something else with helmet in it should be the title? Young Master Luma 19:00, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Conjectural name?

Why does the article have a conjectural name when there at least three official names in other languages (according to the list) and even the (English) Prima guide named them? --Grandy02 12:23, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

This seems to have been answered with a TPP. Marioguy1 (talk)

TPP: Move

Template:SettledTPP Agreed that this does not require a proposal

No offense to anyone, but I find this pretty dumb. The Prima official guide calls them Metallic Goombas, yet we still have them listed as Astro Goombas. The Prima guides give them an official name, so I propose we move Astro Goomba to Metallic Goomba.

Move to Metallic Goomba

  1. Bowser's luma (talk) Per me.

Keep at Astro Goomba

Comments

If the Prima official guide says they are Metalic goombas, they are metallic goombas. This should not even require a proposal. Marioguy1 (talk)

Agreed: I'm pretty sure the Super Mario Galaxy guide came out after Nintendo Power officially partnered with Prima Guides, so it's okay as far as our naming policy goes, and even if it wasn't as official as we'd like, it's not like we'd be overriding a better English name to use it, or something... - Walkazo 02:39, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
So, care that we do it without needing a proposal agreement? BabyLuigiFire.pngRay Trace(T|C)

No need for a proposal then.--Knife (talk) 03:03, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

This is not called "metallic goomba" in the ENEMY SECTION of the official super mario galaxy 2 game guide, they are called Goombeetles,so thats what their name should be,metallic goomba isnt even an official name

Name

What is the official name of this thing?Prima has called them severalthings. But in the enemy section of super Mario galaxy 2,they are called Goombeetles.I think they should be called that.

Perhaps we should have gotten this in the first place, but can you get a scan proving your claim that this should be named Goombeetle? I can just as easily say that this is called Helmet Goomba without proof. If this thing really is called a Goombeetle in the enemies section of Prima, I suppose that would be the correct name.--Knife (talk) 23:47, 27 April 2011 (EDT)

Well anyone got some proof?Iknow its called that..yoshiyoshiyoshi (talk)

You can't move the page without providing some kind of proof or without other users' approval.--Knife (talk) 20:16, 29 April 2011 (EDT)

But in my SMG2 Guide, They're called Goombeetles. Shouldn't we mention its SMG2 name? A Strollin' Stu as it appears in Super Mario Sunshine. BoygeyPumpkineer A Smolderin' Stu in the game Super Mario Sunshine.

Is the guide from Prima?--Knife (talk) 16:04, 5 June 2011 (EDT)

I'm pretty sure it is. :) A Strollin' Stu as it appears in Super Mario Sunshine. BoygeyPumpkineer A Smolderin' Stu in the game Super Mario Sunshine.
