Story Arcs
- Super Mario World: (Volumes 1-5) The first story arc is one of the longest. This story recounts Super Mario World's plot. Included in some of the volumes are side-stories based on past games.
- Super Mario Kart: (Volume 6) After the long Mario World arc, a single-volume story about Super Mario Kart was done.
- Super Mario Land: (Volumes 7-8) Actually based off of Super Mario Land 2: The 6 Golden Coins. It's called Super Mario Land because there was no arc for the original story.
- Yoshi's Safari (Volumes 9) Another short one-volume story about the game Yoshi's Safari.
- ??? (Volume 10) The contents of this volume are unknown, though it's possible it may be based off of the compilation Super Mario All-Stars. It's also possible that this story does not follow the plot of one of the games, or it could be based on Super Mario Bros. 2 because Wart is seen on the cover.
- Wario Land (Volume 11-12) Released alongside the Wario's Woods story, this is the first arc to feature Wario.
- Wario's Woods (Volume 11-12) Released alongside the Wario Land story, this is the second arc to feature Wario. In these two stories, Mario and Luigi also appear to help Wario.
- ??? (Volume 13) Some think this volume is based on Mario's Picross, but it is unlikely. It's possible this could be an original story.
- Yoshi's Island (Volume 14-15) Not much is known about this story. It follows the plot of Yoshi's Island, but Adult Mario appears in it too.
- Donkey Kong Country (Volume 14) A story included with the first part of Yoshi's Island. It is the first story to feature Donkey Kong. At the end, some 4koma comics are featured, based on DKC2.
- Super Mario 64 (Volume 15-16, 18?) The first part might be a crossover with Yoshi's Island, but more likely Super Mario 64, Part 1, shares the volume with Yoshi's Island.
- Mario Kart 64 (Volume 17) A short story about Mario Kart 64.
- Yoshi's Story (Volumes 19-20) A story that slightly follows the plot of Yoshi's Story. However, it also seems to feature Adult Mario in it.
- Mario Party/Mario Party 2 (Volumes 21-24) A long Mario Party story. The last volume borrows elements from Mario Party 2.
- Paper Mario (Volume 25-27) Another rather long story, this time based on the epic RPG Paper Mario.
- Super Mario Sunshine (28-31) One of the longer stories, this is a 4-parter about Super Mario Sunshine.
- Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door(32-35) One of the longer stories. It's about Paper Mario: TTYD.
- Mario and Luigi Partners In Time (35-37) Beginning right after PMTTYD, this is another good-sized story.
- Super Mario Galaxy (37-39) While the beginning is just a bonus story, it picks up in 38, making this a true arc.
- Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (40) Somehow, they managed to fit BiS into one volume.
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii (41-42+?) The current arc. It's possible it has already ended, but it might keep going.
