Donkey Kong's Banana Hoard is a special cave near Donkey Kong's jungle home where he stores his countless Bananas.
History
Donkey Kong Country
King K. Rool stole the Bananas for unknown reasons in Donkey Kong Country. Donkey and Diddy Kong made it their mission to retrieve them one by one, and eventually succeeded.
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
The Banana Hoard itself did not appear in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, but it still played a major role in the storyline. After K. Rool's defeat in the first game, he decided to kidnap Donkey Kong and hold him for ransom, demanding the Banana Hoard in exchange for Donkey Kong's safe return.
Donkey Kong 64
The Banana Hoard does not appear in Donkey Kong 64. Instead, we see the first and only appearance of Donkey Kong's Golden Bananas. The Golden Bananas are stored in a similar but more hidden location.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
The Banana Hoard once again appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's story mode, the Subspace Emissary. Bowser sent out a Hammer Bro. and a Goomba to steal the bananas. Donkey Kong started to chase them. When he finally got out of The Jungle, he still couldn't catch them as they drove too fast and was too far from him. The Goomba jumped to two Bill Blasters which fired three Bullet Bills toward Donkey Kong. Diddy Kong then jumped out of the jungle and used his Peanut Popgun to stop them. They kept following them until Donkey Kong was eventually turned into a trophy.
Donkey Kong Country Returns
The Banana Hoard returns in Donkey Kong Country Returns, only this time, the Tikis steal the bananas to make more Tikis.
