Cosmic Clone

Cosmic Clones are shadowy duplicates of Mario that appear in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Cosmic Clones are created once a certain point is reached in a galaxy and will follow behind Mario, performing every movement Mario makes. Once a certain task is met, such as collecting all five Star Chips, they will disappear. If Mario touches a clone, he will take damage. Interestingly enough, if Mario runs into a clone, then if there are enough clones following Mario, one clone will one into another.
Known Locations
- Sky Station Galaxy on a planet with Flip Switches.[1]
- Spin-Dig Galaxy - On the first planet of the second mission. [2]
- Fluffy Bluff Galaxy - They appear on the Pond Planet following Mario until he collects all five of the Star Chips.
- Puzzle Plank Galaxy - In the shadow vault while Mario collects Purple Coins (seen above).
- Cloudy Court Galaxy - On a planet with clouds and poisonous water[3] and on the Prankster Comet mission in this galaxy.
- Haunty Hills Galaxy - Appear during the Prankster Comet mission[4]
- Chompworks Galaxy - On the final planet of the first mission with golden Chain Chomps.[5]
